BTAA Meeting Minutes January 13, 2014 Meeting called to order: 8:15 ACTION ITEMS: • Minutes from December‘s meeting read and accepted by members. Corrections: Lacrosse Report: change Freedom Lacrosse to Freedom LAX Day Motion to accept: Brian Flynn 2nd: John Shay • Treasurer’s Report - read by Shanen Hoke Copies available by request. Closing balance - $30,867.82 Motion to accept: Tony Raffino 2nd: Jon Nicholas EXECUTIVE REPORTS: None Vince Spina John Koch Jill Volkert Shanen Hoke COORIDNATOR/COMMITTEE REPORTS SOCCER – as per Tony Raffino • Indoor going well • Upcoming sign ups • Online registrations FOOTBALL – as per Chris Karabinus • Proposed a weight change by-law to the league 120 lb. team can be 95lbs.-120 lbs. and 140 lb. team can be 115 lbs. – 140 lbs. CHEERLEADING – as per Angel Weed • Finishing uniform collections • Preparing for sign ups WRESTLING – as per Keith Lyden • Season going well • Thanks to Kim Jenkins for doing concessions at home matches • Concerned about lack of volunteers. Same few every time. • 3 have a legit shot at championships. LACROSSE – as per Jon Nicholas • Awaiting sign ups; Jan. 21,23,27,29 • 2/19 Parent Meeting – 7pm, BTCC • Inquiries from Hanover Twp. if their kids could play for BTAA • 2/23 U9and U11 combined will play @ Phila. Wings, professional team • 4/12 Freedom LAX Day BASKETBALL –as per Bob Norder - absent - No report CONCESSIONS – as per Kim Jenkins • Sold food at 2 home wrestling matches SOFTBALL – as per Rich Sheffer • Sign ups Jan. 21,23,27 and 29 • Lining up coaches • Winter pitching clinic in progress • League approved moving to grade based system as opposed to age. Webmaster – John Scanlan • New website, free from DICK’S: - Can post pictures, but organization and kids must be protected. - Individual sports announcements, mass emails, online sports registrations OTHER – Introduction and recognition of Grade3/4 team • 80 lb squad – 3rd gr. Team and 100 lb. squad – 4th gr.
