BTAA Meeting Minutes
October 12, 2009
Meeting called to order: 8:08
ACTION ITEMS:
Minutes from September’s meeting read and accepted by members.
Changes: Wrestling’s first practice is 11/2, not 11/22.

Treasurer’s Report – read by Donna Grenauer Copies available upon request.

EXECUTIVE REPORT:
Vince Spina - Annual budget review and meeting is upcoming, 11/22. Hopefully the money will not be reduced and will remain the same as last year at $55,000.
Will approach the Twp. about a concession stand. Last year we were turned down.
John Koch - Lottery calendars are going well. Lynn says it is about an 80% win ratio.
New ones printed for Dec., Jan., Feb. Money will go to ALL sports.
Cathy Shay – Nominations for spring sports coordinators.
Jill Volkert – No report.

COORDINATOR / COMMITTEE REPORTS:
SOCCER – as per Cathy Shay

11/2-6 Meyers field space availability still not definite yet.
LACROSSE - as per Cathy Shay
Trying to get into the Lehigh Valley League so travel will be closer.
Fields won’t be ready until 2011.
NCC fields are available.
BTAA is looking to start a U15 boy’s team, 8th and 9th grade.
FOOTBALL- as per Vince Spina
Doing ok. Teams are competitive.
When playing Northampton 2 weeks ago, dedicated the 125 lb. game to the memory of Dakota Galusha who was tragically killed last year. Will award or exchange the trophy every year to the winner.
11/8 Hosting playoff games. Will need volunteers for 3 games.
CHEERLEADING –as per Lynn Spina
3 squads for wrestling cheerleading
11/22 our competition. 12 squads - 500 girls paid to go.
Still have some T shirts available; Persevere and Bulldog Tees, $10.00.
CONCESSIONS - as per Vince Spina
2 students (Sam and Tori) have been running the stand EVERY night and Saturdays! We will reward their efforts with gift certificates to the mall.
BASKETBALL – No Report.
10/28 Parent meeting
WRESTLING as per Lou Colangelo
Still taking sign ups.
10/26 parent meeting.
11/2 first practice
Have match leases.
League voted for Freedom to do Varsity Tournament.
11/14 Pre-season tournament.
SOFTBALL: No report
