August 10, 2009
Meeting called to order: 8:04
ACTION ITEMS:
Minutes from July’s meeting read and accepted by members.

EXECUTIVE REPORT:
Vince Spina -
ResponsibleSports.com handout for being eligible to receive a $2,500 grant. Parents must do an online survey.
School district still looking for what to change with use of facilities.
Willing to trade off costs for hardship cases for volunteering.
Annual budget report will be submitted to Township soon.
John Koch - Lottery calendars still available.
Cathy Shay – No report.
Jill Volkert – No report.
Donna Grenauer –Thanks to Bob Eaton for always having detailed record keeping.
DISCUSSION ITEMS:
$38,499.00 in CD. Transferred $15,000 into a 2 yr. CD at KNBT. Remainder in a money market.
Floor is giving out in our concession stand. Want to revisit a new concession stand. Township denied us the $80,000.00 they were to give BTAA for a new concession stand. Possibly a fundraising campaign.
COORDINATOR / COMMITTEE REPORTS:
SOCCER – as per Bob Eaton
520+ players
$1,500.00 in spirit wear.
FC Freedom now wants to merge into BTAA come spring. Both boys and girls. Extra costs will be paid by the players on the traveling team.
High school coach reported that the school district is looking to cut the middle school program.
LACROSSE - Joe Conzola absent, no report
FOOTBALL- as per Vince Spina
140 players
Had a field clean up last Sat.
Rosters need to be finalized by 8/19.
Coaches’ background info. to be submitted soon.
105’s need new uniforms.
Purchased a shed for weigh-ins and equipment storage. The space where weigh-ins occurred at the entrance of the concession stand is unsafe as the floor is falling through.
CHEERLEADING –as per Annette Mease
Correction on competition dates. Northern Lehigh is Nov. 14 and
North Parkland is Nov. 15.
BASKETBALL – as per Bill Dosedlo
Summer League is over.
2 Champion teams out of 12 teams this season.
9/14 leases start at elementary schools for cheerleading. Miller Hts. and Farmersville only on weekends. 2 practices a week. FHS, EH, NCC,BCC come fall.
Will order basketballs and 20 sets of uniforms. Cutting back.
WRESTLING - as per Lou Colangelo
Sign up dates are good to go.
Flies will be made and distributed.
CONCESSIONS - as per Lorie Dosedlo
Mon. - Thurs. Cheerleader parents are covering in Aug.
Sept. - Football parents will work the snack stand.
SOFTBALL: John Grenauer - absent
Batting cages are down and stored.
