EXECUTIVE REPORT:
Vince Spina - 5/19 is the primary election for school board. The school board is looking to do away with middle school soccer program. Just be aware of that. Not endorsing any candidate.
We received our license and were approved for lottery cards fundraising.
John Koch - Absent, no report.
Cathy Shay – Updated cheering info. is now posted on the website.
Jill Volkert – No report.
Donna Grenauer–No report.
DISCUSSION ITEMS:
Opening Day/40th Anniversary Recognition - Special thanks to John Grenauer and all who contributed to the ceremony and the 40th Anniversary Recognition. It turned out great, except for the rain. Presentation made of one of the BULLDOG AWARDS to Bob Eaton, who left the ceremony on Sun. before the awards were given. Other recipients of the BULLDOG AWARD, recognized for their commitment to the organization and the youth that it serves, were Andy Demyan, Donna Grenauer and Jill Volkert.
COORDINATOR / COMMITTEE REPORTS:
SOCCER – as per Bob Eaton
Looking at about 540 soccer sign ups.
LACROSSE - No report, Joe Conzola absent.
Vince mentioned that he has heard many positive remarks and comments on the program.
FOOTBALL- as per Vince in Rob Skae’s absence
Sign ups on May 12, 14, 18, and 20.
League changed/increased weights. Now, no weight allowance during the season.
Looking for 105 lb. coach.
CHEERLEADING –as per Annette Mease
Signups begin this week. May 12, 14, 18 and 20.
BASKETBALL – as per Bill Dosedlo
Forks Summer League is good to go.
Will do leases for next year.
Eliminating Freemansburg Ele. And Spring Garden Ele. for practices, in an attempt to cut back.
Practices will still be held at East Hills M.S., Miller Hts. Ele. and Farmersville Ele.
WRESTLING as per Lou Colangelo
Summer wrestling on Wed. nights at Freedom H.S. is still going on.
CONCESSIONS - as per Bill Dosedlo in Lorie’s absence
All is going well.

SOFTBALL: as per John Grenauer
Opening day celebration went well. Served 480 hot dogs. Thanks to all who helped.
Jrs‘. games start next week.
5/27 - Srs‘. games begin.

Cathy questioned the condition of the soccer fields at the municipal park. Was reported that the fields were just seeded, again.
The fire dept. will not be holding the carnival this year, partially due to the fields and partly due to cut backs.
2. Bob Eaton said he approached Floyd about putting snow fences around the fields.
OTHER:
1. By Laws: Changes/revisions reviewed
Bob Eaton expressed concern with the by-law change stating that no student coaches permitted as head coaches. Last months minutes reflect the same concern. Bob said that if we are requiring adults/parents to be the head coaches “in name,” then he will call himself the head coach for all of the teams that have student coaches (15, 16, 17 yr. olds) as head coach!
The by-law committee stands firm on the change and feels that an adult must be responsible.
Vince stated that if there is a disagreement with a by-law, it needs to be revisited with all involved and rephrased during the by-law review.
Motion made by John Grenauer to vote on by-laws accepting the changes: 8
Motion made by Bob Eaton to vote on not accepting the revised by-laws with changes: 4
Revised/New by-laws will take affect in July.
