Meeting called to order: 8:20

EXECUTIVE REPORT:
Vince Spina - No report.

John Koch - Thanks to Donna Grenauer for cleaning up the Concession stand when the Inspector called to do a “surprise” visit. Cleaned mouse droppings - a lot of food left in the stand. Ground hog living underneath the trailer. Exterminator called in. Traps set.

Cathy Shay – No report.

Jill Volkert – No report.

Donna Grenauer–No report.

DISCUSSION ITEMS:

Municipal Park Soccer Fields - 3 basic fields 7/22 newspaper article in The Morning Call about the soccer fields and the Hope Rd. Project. First tax increase (10%) in 15 years. Fields must go out for bids. 77 comments posted online. Probably 70 were negative. We must get involved. Board of Commissioner meetings are at 7:00 two times a month, on Mondays. Members are encouraged to attend. Email Commissioners or leave them voicemail, as well, to show your support for soccer fields.

Meyer’s Lane Building Project - Concession Stand Looking into a steel a building (pole building). Less expensive. Will contact the following companies: Anthem Steel and Edinger Construction. Need to meet with Twp. officials.

Equipment Maintenance Reminder to coordinators to be diligent with regard to equipment handouts, getting all equipment returned and uniform deposits. Rob Skae requested that the uniform/equipment deposit be raised for football due to rising costs of their equipment.

COORDINATOR / COMMITTEE REPORTS:

SOCCER – as per Bob Eaton
-Upcoming pre-season tournament. Secured fields for practices and game.
-$1,500 earned in spirit ware.
-475 players; U7 to U16.
-Port-O-Johns ordered for Farmersville and the Church.

FOOTBALL- as per Rob Skae
-2nd week of practice
-4 teams; 30 players per team
-Fields are in good shape.
-Pictures to be taken on 9/6.
-Looking into “Kids’ Day” at Lehigh.

CHEERLEADING –as per Stacy Schneck
-2nd week of practice
-Doing spirit ware -apparel - Chris Losagio
-Has their proposed budget ready to submit.
-9/8 - move practices inside to gyms.

BASKETBALL – as per Bill Dosedlo
-Finished up Forks Summer League with NO problems.
-8 out of our 12 teams made play offs.
-Have leases from Sp. Garden, Gov. Wolf and Farmersville waiting for us.
-Signups on 9/16, 18, 22 and 24 from 6:00 to 8:00 @ BTCC lower level lobby.
-Need to coordinate flyers.
-New “stamped” basketballs ordered.
-Will order about 50 uniforms.

CONCESSIONS - as per Lorie Dosedlo
-Going well for football/cheering practices.
-Looking into purchasing an ice machine.
-Requests another freezer. Need more than one. Have one sitting in there for years that doesn’t   work. Will look into getting it repaired or getting rid of it.

WRESTLING as per Lou Colangelo
-Sign up dates set. Same as basketball’s (see above).
-Got leases for wrestling room at Freedom for Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays, both upstairs and downstairs.
-Working on getting leases for matches.
-? 11/16 ? (not definite) for tournament.

SOFTBALL: as per John Grenauer
-BT won the 11/12 Tournament.
-Removed batting cages from the field.
-Fall Ball will be using our 9/10 field for Sunday games.

COURTESY OF THE FLOOR –
-John Shay has a grant application for Lacrosse equipment.
-Joe Conzola talked to Fred Harris about field space for Lacrosse. Still no commitments.

OTHER:
Nominations for Coordinators:
-Softball - John Grenauer - accepts. Tom Barrow - declines.
-Lacrosse - Joe Conzola - accepts.
First Aid Kits need to be stocked. Rob Skae will take care of that.
Next month’s meeting time will change to 8:15 to accommodate football and cheering practice.
