BTAA Meeting MinutesJanuary 14, 2008 Meeting called to order:  8:01 pm.  ACTION ITEMS:
  • Minutes from December’s meeting read and accepted by members.
Motion to accept:   Al Deemer    2nd Tom Czerwinski·        Treasurer’s Report – read by Donna Grenauer      Copies available upon request. o       “GARRETT DUH FUND” - $6,600 rose and given to the Duh family before Christmas.$2,797 raised by football$401    raised by soccer$92      Applebee’s $500     Fancy Fotos donationMotion to accept:  John Grenauer   2nd Glen Ferrera      EXECUTIVE REPORT:Bob Eaton – Rec. Board Committee discussed Housenik property.  Will be totally “passive” development.  Hope Rd. property – Penn DOT will be taking bids shortly.  Another year until things get started there.Cathy Shay – New sign in sheets, Initial or”X” your name when you are in attendance.  Trying to email members to give a heads up when they are in jeopardy of losing their voting privileges due to lack of attendance.DISCUSSION ITEMS:
  • Election Postscript II – Saga continues…Tom says that it becomes more evident as time goes on, that if these men would have gotten into office there would be a very good chance things would change for the Bulldogs.  (For example; our subsidy from the TWP., free use of space at the BTCC.)
  • Storage Sheds - We need to GET OUT of the old ones.  We will have to pay another month’s rent until we move out.
  • Website – Softball website has vanished!  It has been deleted.  Glenn Ferrera Suggested having our own website.  John Grenauer said that he doesn’t care how we work it, ‘eteamz’ or our own site.  He wants to maintain a website for softball info., but will continue to communicate with the parents directly.
 COORDINATOR / COMMITTEE REPORTS:  SOCCER – as per Bob Eaton
  • Spring sign ups on 1/29, 1/30, 2/4 and 2/5.
  • Will be discarding old uniforms.
  • Tom Czerwinski suggests looking into putting up some type of a box for storage at Farmersville. And the church where we have games.  He will inquire.
FOOTBALL- as per Rob Skae
  • League Meeting was held.  Teams remain as: Flag, 80 lb., 90 lb., 100 lb. and 115 lb.
  • Raising Ref. fees up to $45.00 per game.
  • League will make decisions as to whether games will be played in inclement weather as opposed to the teams.
  • Will work on getting out of the old sheds and into the new ones.
 CHEERLEADING – as per Stacy Schneck
  • Everything is out of the old shed and into the new.  Old uniforms will be discarded.
  • Trophies ordered.
  • Freedom cheerleaders are borrowing our BIG mats, now.  We may try to store them in the Bulldog office if they fit.  Will ask Freedom if they have a place to store them.
WERSTLING CHEERING – as per Dina Spearko
  • Competing on 2/17 at Nazareth
  • Competition in March in Emmaus.
BASKETBALL – as per Bill Dosedlo
  • 9 teams in a holiday tournament at I.T.Z.  Two teams won; 1 boys' team and 1 girls' team.
Can we get a trophy case put up at the BTCC?
  • Fred Harris gave us a check for $2,000.00 from the George B. Yasso Christmas City Classic
    • Cathy will send a thank you.
  • 1/23 Boys’ BTAA Night at Lehigh U.  1/30 Girls’ Night at Lehigh U.  U10 teams will play at half time.   Lehigh U.’s girls’ basketball players are attending some of our basketball games.
  • 1/25 BTAA Night at FHS; 6:30 Girls’ game, 8:00 Boys’ game.  U9 teams are playing at half time.
Joe Stallato is allowing our kids to go into the Freedom locker room for pre-game talk.
  • Thanks to Floyd for giving us gym time at the BTCC.
  • 2/3 and 2/4 are CBL play offs.
CONCESSIONS - Lori Dosedlo ill, no report.·         Stand closed.WRESTLING as per Lou Colangelo
  • One month remaining; 3 matches left in the season.
  •  JV and Varsity tournament on 2/17.
  • Next match is Sunday at FHS vs. Little Royals.
  • Pictures with Fancy Fotos complete and passed out.
  • Youth wrestling night at Freedom on Jan 2nd went well.  Wrestlers introduced before the Varsity; wrestling match against Allen.  Wrestling Cheerleaders performed.
  • Patriot Wrestling Club put our team photo in their program.  Bulldog ad is also in the booklet.
  • Old warm-ups and extra equipment was put in the new storage sheds in plastic containers.
SOFTBALL:  as per John Grenauer
  • Sign ups are 1/29, 1/30, 2/4 and 2/5.
  • Clinics at the BTCC and I>T>Z> are going well.  One batting cage was down for almost half an hour last time.  Although we were billed, Steve Turpening said he will make good for it the next time we are there.
OTHER:
  • Nominations / Elections for Football, Cheerleading, Soccer
    • Nominations:  1 additional nomination for soccer.
      • John Eltringham – does not accept.

    • All current coordinators are voted in.  Congrats. to all.
