Welcome
Welcome to the official web site for the 2009 US Youth Nevada State Cup Champions, the girls U12 Ballistic SO '97 team. It is the original and only team at the inception of the Ballistic Soccer Organization (BSO) that was founded in 2005.
2009-2010 Soccer Year
The Ballistic SO '97 team is very excited starting off the new soccer year with the new addition of Coach Jesus DeLamora who was the President of Black Mountain FC and Head Coach for the Black Mountain FC '97 girls team who placed as 2008 US Youth Nevada State Championship Finalists. Coming with Coach Jesus, are 8 of his chosen players to merge with the Ballistic SO '97 team, and he has accepted a position on the BSO Board of Directors.
Head Coach Adam Mallas and Coach Jesus DeLamora have created a friendship that has uprooted through the Las Vegas soccer community that started 3 years ago. As time has gone by, each year, these two Coaches have discussed the possibilities of Coaching together. It has now happened! Adam and Jesus are very excited and are looking forward to a very productive 2009-2010 year with their eyes focused on the 2010 US Youth Nevada State Cup Championships.
These two Coaches both have exprienced the environment of a State Cup Championship game. They know and understand what it takes to make it there. They understand that it is based on team effort and ability rather than individual effort and ability. Combined, these two Coaches have the most wins of any other '97 Coaching Staff in Las Vegas. Their experiences should prove to be a formula for winning with an arsenal of training methods.
Although their summer schedule displays a serious group of tournaments way before next years State Cup. This team will be competing in the Slammers Classic on July 18-19, 2009, the West Coast FC on August 15-16, 2009, and also in the Blues Cup on Labor Day weekend. Intense training and team chemistry will be a big factor for this newly put together team to succeed as expected.
The Atmosphere
"It is very important to me, that all of the players, parents, and family members enjoy each others company when we are together," comments Coach Adam. Not only with this team, but throughout the BSO, it is expected of the Coaching and Management Staff to establish and insure the kind of atmosphere that is positive which makes it comforting to know that the players and the parents know each other.
Off the field unwanted attitudes are not welcome here. Scholastics are a major focus that all of our families value and expect from each of our student athletes. On this team, all Staff and adults will be respected by all players regardless of the relation to the sport.
If you enjoy either none or meaningless conversation, this is not the team to be a part of. The players and parents understand that what happens on the field stays on the field. Off of the field is where we unwind, have fun, and hopefully don't discuss the game of soccer... as much as we can help it!
