Lady Bobcats Win Again!!!
|
|
Game 2 of this season was a test for this young team and they passed! On a VERY hot and humid day, the Lady Bobcats came out with another win by beating Genesee Community College, 5-1.
The ladies scored quickly only 8 minutes into the game and by halftime, they improved their lead to 4-0. The second half started just like the first, with BSC scoring early to up the score to 5-0. Later in the second half both teams were feeling the effects of the heat and with less than a minute left in the game Genesee managed to score, ruining the Bobcat's opportunity for a shutout.
Up next for the Lady Bobcats will be a string of 4 away games before heading back home for their next homestand on October 7th & 8th. Thank you to all who endured the heat and humidity to support the team!
BOBCATS PUT UP ANOTHER WIN!
|
The Bobcats have added another win to their record, continuing the undefeated start to their season! The final score in this game was 8-1, despite the fact that 5 of the starters were out due to injury. It was a great opportunity for the younger players to get some valuable playing time and experience, while building their confidence. They proved that they can handle the game at this competitive level and have shown that they are prepared for whatever is asked of them. The men's team looks to have 2 additional signees joining the team next week and Coach Nick has stated that "I really think for the first time in awhile we have a team that can, once again, be a serious contender for the National Championship." A word to the wise... keep an eye on #99 NDIYAPO LETSHOLATHEBE!!! He remains a captain for the Botswanian Senior National Team and last season he earned the following honors as a Bobcat: 2007 NCJAA All-American, 2007 NSCAA All-American, 2007 All District Team, and 2007 All WNYAC team. Coach Nick feels that this player has the opportunity to be drafted into major league soccer! We'll keep you updated as season progresses!

LADY BOBCATS OVER TC3, 3-2
The Lady Bobcats opened their season under the lights at Tomkins-Cortland Community College (TC3) and came away with a hard-fought 3-2 victory. Trailing at halftime (2-1), the Lady Bobcats came out fighting and scored the tying goal 12 minutes into the second half. Later, with 15 minutes to go, they scored again, took the lead, and never looked back! They played a great team game both on the offensive and defensive ends and started the season off on a good note.
Mick McDaniel, TC3's coach, commented after the game “this is the best team I have played all year!"
