Congrats to former Brooklyn Saints player Kastine Evans.
Kastine lived in Conn. but still managed to commute and play with the Brooklyn Saints in 8th grade. I can still remember her winning shots to beat Douglas in the "Just Say No to Drugs" Championship game. Kastine's father is former New York Jets player Ray Evans. Kastine's brother plays for Holy Cross. The Evan's family still follow the Brooklyn Saints teams and communicate with me often.

Brooklyn Saints forward Shanaira Styles, out of Petrides, was given the Rose Classic scholar-athlete award. The senior has a 99.9 grade-point average at the Staten Island school.
