PLAY BALL - Spring 2010 Baseball SIGNUPS - Babe Ruth AND American Legion
Babe Ruth will have walk in sign ups at the Brunswick High School Gymnasium Sunday January 31st from 2-4pm. The last walk in signup will be Feb. 10th at the Brunswick Little League Pressbox from 6-8pm You can download the registration form from the Handouts section on the left and bring it in or mail it to Player Agent Vikki Darling at PO Box 313 Jefferson, MD 21755 or you may email her at vdarling@specializedengineering.com if you have further questions.
Late signups are anything after Feb. 28, 2010 - there is no guarantee of a roster spot and the fee increases after this date.

Babe Ruth tryouts are set for March 6th and 7th at the Jefferson School field. Times are TBD.

Opening day for Brunswick Babe Ruth is tentatively set for Sunday April 11th at 2pm at the Brunswick High School field. This game will be for the Brunswick National Babe Ruth team or both (doubleheader) if we have two National level teams. American Babe Ruth will start later in the spring.

Babe Ruth and Legion Baseball
We support teams in Babe Ruth Baseball (ages 13-15) and American Legion Baseball (ages 16-19). Brunswick Babe Ruth teams participate in the Frederick County Babe Ruth league and the Brunswick American Legion team participates in the Western Maryland District. Go to the Handouts page (under General Information) to see an age chart that allows you to see what "league age" your athlete is for the upcoming season. The next general meeting for Brunswick Junior Baseball will be held on Thursday, February 18th, 2010, at 7 pm., at the Green Country Inn located in Brunswick.

Help Us Keep the Legacy Alive
Please help us with our continuing efforts to pay for the new lights at the Brunswick High School field. The lights were installed September 2009 but we still have approximately $11,000 more to raise to complete the project. Any donations would be greatly appreciated. 1) To teach players to respect the game and the players on both teams. Respect is something that should be had for all umpires, fans, and coaches, as well as the opponent, but most of all respect for yourself!
2) To instill accountability in all players on the team. In life, it is very important to be accountable for your actions! 3) To develop character in our players. Character is the way you carry yourself and the way you are perceived by others! 4) To develop mental toughness in our players. Mental toughness is the ability to fight back under pressure when things aren't in your favor! 5) To instill in our players the inspiration to work towards their future, not just the next game!

NO SMOKING PERMITTED
Smoking is strictly prohibited at the "The Jefferson School" and "BHS". You must leave the property if you must smoke. Smoking in the parking lot and/or in your vehicle in the parking lot is not permitted.
