Smoke bested the Clippers in their best of three series to win the B-division championship playoffs.
In game 1, Smoke held on for a narrow 7-6 victory, but the Clippers were able to bounce back with a 10-0 victory thanks to a great pitching performance by Sal T.
In the rubber game, Smoke re-ignited and cruised to an 18-7 victory.
Smoke was led on the day by Gabe, who earned both victories, and by the bats of Chris and Ant., both of who slugged homeruns.
GABE WINS All Star MVP
The Nationals, composed of Assault, Bushwackers, Smoke and Clippers, bested the Americans, composed of Cobras, Arsenal, Borrachos, Chimaera and Thunder, in a low scoring affair.
After five scoreless innings by the Cobras' Joey, the Americans jumped out in front in the sixth thanks to a clutch double by Yersin of Arsenal. The Nationals bounced back in the seventh, however, plating three runs including a two run single by Alex of the Bushwackers.
The slim 3-2 margin was sustained thanks to the strong pitching of the Smoke's Gabe, who closed out the game and notched four scoreless frames. Gabe was awarded with the game's MVP for his clutch pitching and fine fielding at first base.
