Barenaked Ladies was formed by Deb Marusich and Jen Behrendt in the fall of 2000. We are a women's BB team that competes in the Great Lakes Region USAV season as well as off-season indoor and outdoor events. We like to play hard and have fun both on and off the court (see our photo section).
We are now going on our 8th season and we've been together and finished in the top half of the regional standings and have made six trips to nationals and unfortunately we missed 2006 in New Orleans (Milwaukee 2001, Dallas 2002, Minneapolis 2003, Atlanta 2004, Denver 2005, and Austin 2007). We're looking forward to 2008 back in Atlanta, GA!
We've found success in keeping our core team together over the years. Many of us have played USAV and competitive volleyball in the past and have come together via mutual friends or chance meetings (sewing circles (-:, other volleyball tourneys, via UOK Men, internet, etc.).
