Looking Forward to the 2012 Fall Soccer Season

First I would like to thank Coach Nolte for his years of service to this soccer program. I have seen this program come a long way in the eight seasons I have been a part of it. I am grateful he had the confidence to bring me onboard eight years ago and I have enjoyed coaching under his leadership.

As I mentioned at the parents meeting it is both an honor and a privilege to be your coach. I have high expectations for the upcoming season as our rising Senior class has the potential to provide tremendous leadership. However, with that leadership comes responsibility. I will rely heavily on the Seniors, especially over the summer, to encourage participation in the workouts and additionally make sure they are productive and efficient.

The coaching staff with contact information is as follows:

Luigi DeGennaro - Head Varsity Coach
(301) 736-8846 (w)
(703)915-8323 (c)

Marty Spain - Asst. Varsity Coach
(703) 855-1079

Brian Dougherty - JV Coach
(240) 486-0608

Paul Leader - JV Coach
(410) 977-1989

The current workout schedule is Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday 3:15 to 4:30 pm. There is a mandatory player meeting on Thursday, May 24 at 3:15 pm. The meeting will be brief therefore please make every effort to attend as we will discuss the upcoming summer workout schedule. There will be no scheduled workout on May 24.

In the first half, Ryan Leslie slotted a solid pass to Greg Carbott, who put the Mustangs ahead 1-0 with a hard hit shot out of reach of Carroll's keeper.  Carroll answered back late in the game with the tying goal on a break away.  The two teams played to a draw in overtime and went to penalty kicks to break the tie.
