Battlecats win 2011 opening game over the Burlington Brants.
After being rained out for their first game of 2011 season at Etobicoke, the Battlecats travelled to Burlington to face the Brants and came away with a 8 - 2 win . Veteran pitcher, Joey Nonis, went 7 strong innings for his first win of the season and Justin Deleskie closed out the game to preserve the win. It was a total team effort against the Brants who had just come off a win over the last years league champs the Glanbrook Grizzlies. The Cats home opener is Friday May 13, 2011 at F.C.C.C. Parks 7:30pm start when they will face the Glanbrook Grizzlies.
