Composite Bat Information

IMPORTANT NEWS FROM LITTLE LEAGUE INTERNATIONAL...

Little League announced that it has placed a moratorium on composite bats for all levels of play from TBall to Big League in the Baseball Division. Today Little League added to the announcement a link to see all the bats that have been granted a waiver as well as a FAQ section.

LIST OF APPROVED JUNIORS, SENIORS, BIGS COMPOSITE BARRELLED BATS

Please click on this link to view the entire article.

Note: The moratorium on composite bats only applies to composite-barreled bats. Bats that have only a metal/alloy in the barrel (and no other material, unless it is in the end cap of the bat) are not subject to the moratorium, regardless of the composition of the handle.

Weather it's safe to play

Games are to be stopped immediately if the lightening detector Thor-Guard goes off, or if you hear thunder or see lightning. Players MUST be moved away from fences, dugouts and backstops and be moved in enclosed vehicles until the game is either cancelled or resumed.

The Thor-Guard lightning detection system detects bursts of electromagnetic radiation – in forms of very low frequency radio signals – generated by lightning flashes in the surrounding area. When the system’s alarm sounds, all play will be halted and fields should be evacuated.

1. All players and children are to go to their parent’s car...if parents aren't at the game, arrange for them to go to one of the coaches’ cars or another parent’s car.

2. When the Thor-Guard goes off three times ... it is all clear to resume play

3. If the Thor-Guard doesn’t' go off, but you hear thunder or see lighting, you must wait 30 minutes from the last time of hearing thunder or seeing lightning.

As always safety for the children is our number #1 PRIORITY, so get the kids to the car and we can all live to play another day...

When you hear it – Clear it

When you see it – Flee it

Volunteers Needed
Bartlett Little League is one of the largest Little Leagues in the nation administered under one board. The League can only be as good as its volunteers. We are always looking for volunteers for the auxiliary board, coaches, commissioners, managers, rainout coordinators, team parents, post season tournament directors, post season volunteers, and umpires. If, at anytime, you feel you would like to assist in some way contact us. bllbaseball@yahoo.com
