18u Bay Area Blitz: Blitz Site News

The 18u Blitz received the Matthew Glowacz Team Sportsmanship Award at the IFA Nationals in Beaumont.  Matthew was killed by a drunk driver several years ago and his parents created this award to honor him.  This award was presented to us for our past history (4 years with IFA) because we have always shown INTEGRITY & TEAM SPORTSMANSHIP.  Our thanks to the Glowacz family, the Voss family, & Shorty.  We look forward to seeing you in the Fall for the American Cancer Series.

The team played hard and had our most successful Nationals series.  We outscored our opponents 37-20 and lost 3 games by 4 runs total.  We played competitively against the best teams out there.  Congratulations to the Elgin Express for 1st place. 

Our thanks to Cody Veteto, Brittany Robles & Sarah Ibarra for being the ultimate TEAM PLAYERS - we will miss you.  We wish you the best as you begin your college careers.
