Welcome to the BLB Website for 2009/2010

BLB 8 Team
BLB Fills the Net - Again!
The Barrington Lady Bombers Girls Basketball Club ("BLB") was founded in 2001, and is the "feeder" organization for Barington High School girls basketball. Each year we look to form teams for 5th through 8th grades (4th graders may play at the 5th grade level). The teams are coached by volunteer parents and other experienced coaches and play games in leagues and tournaments against other similar "feeder" teams in the north, northwest and west Chicago suburbs. Our season normally runs from early November to mid-March with try-outs held in mid-October. Although BLB is not affiliated with CUSD 220 in any way, our league rules require BLB to organize by high school district. Thus, participation is limited to residents of CUSD 220 only.

This is the BLB website for the 2009/2010 season. This site will support all of our teams at once. Each team has a sub-site within this general site. Team-specific information, such as game schedules, can be found in each team's sub-site. Games within the next 7 days can also be found at the bottom of this home page. Click on the team links below to go to each team's sub-site. General BLB information can be found here in the main site.

BLB 2009/2010 - Try-Out Information

The Barrington Lady Bombers' try-outs for its 2009/2010 teams will be held on Saturday/Sunday October 17/18 at Barrington High School. Players should attend at least one day (and hopefully both days) to be considered for the teams. A parent signature on a release form is required before a player may participate. Come dressed ready to play and please bring a women's size basketball and a water bottle.

5th Grade     3:00 - 4:30 PM                       12:00 -1:30 PM       

6th Grade     4:30 - 6:00 PM                       1:30 - 3:00 PM 

7th Grade     6:00 - 7:30 PM                       3:00 - 4:30 PM

8th Grade     7:30 - 9:00 PM                       4:30 - 6:00 PM 

Please arrive 15 minutes early on Saturday in order to fill out the paperwork and be measured for height.

Should you be unable to attend either day, please e-mail John Madden at johnmes@sbcglobal.net; we are trying to set up additional gym time in the evening during the week after tryouts.
