It’s hard to believe, but this year marks the twentieth anniversary of our graduation from John R. Buchtel High School. Your Reunion Planning Committee is in the process of finalizing an extraordinary celebration, scheduled from August 31 – September 2, 2007.
Itinerary
Friday, August 31
• 8 p.m. – midnight
• Cocktail reception at Jillian’s (363 Main Street, downtown Akron). Cash bar with appetizers provided.
Saturday, September 1
• 11 a.m. – 3 p.m.
• Family Picnic at Lion’s Park (245 Northeast Avenue, Akron). Food and beverages provided.
• 6:30 p.m. – 9 p.m.
• Banquet dinner (location TBD). Buffet dinner and beverages - including alcohol, provided.
Sunday, September 2
• 11 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.
• Worship service with the Reverend Paul Mays (B.H.S. auditorium)
Cost
The ticket price is $100, and covers your admission to the events for the entire weekend! There are two payment options; you can pay online by accessing our Paypal account at www.Paypal.com. Select the “send money” option and follow the steps to “sign up now”. When prompted, you will need to enter “griffs87@hotmail.com” to have your dues sent to our account. It will take approximately 10 minutes. Or you can send a cashier’s check or money order made payable to Buchtel c/o 87 Reunion and mail it to P.O. Box 13741, Akron, OH, 44334-3741. To ensure the planning of our reunion, it is imperative that we receive your payment by March 31, 2007. Sorry, personal checks will not be accepted.
As reunion plans are finalized, you will receive an updated itinerary via U.S. mail, or if you prefer to receive it via email, please provide us with your email address. Should you have additional questions or concerns, please feel free to contact any of us at classof1987bhs@yahoo.com. We look forward to hearing from you and SEEING you in the fall!
