| The Bulldogs with former Bulldog Brandon Conlin of Syracuse |
The Birmingham Bulldogs 5/6 Team performed very well at the Rip the Duck Tournament in South Bend, IN on May 1st and 2nd. They played some of the best teams in the region. They won three games and lost two, one in an exciting Braveheart format overtime.
The boys toured the Notre Dame campus and watched Syracuse defeat the Fighting Irish 12-6 in men's lacrosse.
The Bulldogs were visited Bulldog Alumnus Brandon Conlin, who plays defense for the Syracuse Men's Lacrosse team. He talked about his days playing for Birmingham Junior Lacrosse and how the skills he learned in Birmingham helped him to be a part of two National Championship teams.
Brandon's visit with the team was followed by a talk with Ryan Covert of the Chicago Machine in the MLL. Ryan gave the boys advice on practicing and praised them for their outstanding play.
Overall, it was a great experience for our players. They all want to return next year and win the whole tournament.
Great job Bulldogs!
