Brampton East Soccer Club: Scholarship
ENROY S. MCDONALD MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP AWARD
The Brampton East Soccer Club will offer a Scholarship Award to a Club member who has contributed to the success of the Brampton East Soccer Club. The purpose of the Awards is to invest in the youth of our community and in the development of the whole player. A SCHOLARSHIP OF $1,000 WILL BE AWARDED ANNUALLY TO ONE CLUB MEMBER PRIOR TO ENTERING A POST SECONDARY INSTITUTION (COMMUNITY COLLEGE, UNIVERSITY, OR CEGEP IN CANADA OR ELSEWHERE FOR THE FIRST TIME.
The Scholarship is open to any Brampton East member in good standing entering a post secondary institution in 2009. Individuals already attending a post secondary institution are not eligible. Applicants will have: v Contributed to the success of the Brampton East Soccer Club programs (Players, Coaches, Staff, Referees) v Participated in Brampton East programs at any level or in any area for a minimum of three consecutive years and is currently an active participant v Demonstrated leadership and volunteer participation in community activities in either soccer or other activities v Demonstrated the principles of Fair Play throughout their participation APPLICANTS MAY BE NOMINATED BY THEIR TEAM OR BY 2 MEMBERS IN GOOD STANDING OF THE BRAMPTON EAST SOCCCER CLUB. APPLICATION FORM AVAILABLE ON LINE OR AT CLUBHOUSE SELECTION COMMITTEE TO RECEIVE APPLICATIONS BY JUNE 30TH 2009. SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATES WILL BE INFORMED BY JULY 30TH CHEQUES WILL BE PAYABLE TO THE INSTITUTION NO CANDIDATE MAY RECEIVE MORE THAN ONE SCHOLARSHIP FROM THE CLUB NAMES OF AWARD WINNERS WILL BE DISPLAYED AT THE CLUB FINALISTS MAY BE REQUIRED TO PROVIDE A SHORT PRESENTATION TO THE SELECTION COMMITTEE.
