Friendship Bowl....
I am very proud of the way our kids fought last night. I looked into the eyes of many of our kids last night that were playing hurt, sore, and tired. Our kids were physically wore down from the schedule that we had played all year. I can honestly say, whether the team looked good or not last night, THEY PLAYED THEIR BUTTS OFF! Whether it was A-Team or B-Team, every player gave us what they had and they did what i asked them to do, they left it on the field. Sometimes in life you just meet someone a little bigger, a little stronger and a little faster, that is life. The odds of us winning were slim, we were undefeated, only given up 1 touchdown and had beaten the teams twice, to me that is not good odds. It is hard to beat someone very many times in one season. We get every teams A game, because they want to beat the Panthers, just look at the signs on the stands. But i will tell you right now, I am more proud of our kids for playing hard last night, then I was for any of our games the whole year, that is all a coach can ask for. These players are not only regular season champions, but these Panthers are Champions in Life!!!!

A-Team Semi-final game Sunday
The A-team came out fired up against a equally fired up Chiefs team. The Chiefs had a great tournament, playing 2 great games in the tournament. We finally got some points on the board in the second quarter- 2 pt conversion failed. We held them all day on defense, and then scored again in the 4th quarter. Cody Rice added the first touchdown, 2pt conversion failed. Kyle Pauley then ran 60 yards in the 4th quarter, Matthew Middleton added the 2 pt conversion. Jalen Davenport and Bradley Cornwell made some spectacular catches today in the game. Great job to all the Panthers.

B-Team - Semi-final game Sunday
We had a little trouble getting started today. Hadnt played in a while and it showed today. We were flat on offense and defense today. Bo Arthur finally got it started in the 4th quarter with a great 35 yd run- 2pt conversion failed. Bo then made an interception that put the game away, we just ran the clock down from there.

A-Team game Saturday
The A-Team had a hard game today. They played a fired-up Raceland team that wanted to spoil the Panthers Regular Season Undefeated Championship- BUT, they didnt. We played a very good Raceland team today with some size. Their 2 runningbacks were bigger than anyone on our team. We finally started hitting them, and hit them hard. The only touchdown of the game, was a pass from Kyle Pauley to Bradley Cornwell. Great game today Panthers!

Saturday, October 19
B-Team game Saturday
The B-Team came out ready to play today. Dylan Harris and Bo Arthur made some spectacular runs today. Bo had 3 touchdowns and Brad Combs had a 2pt conversion.

Sunday's Game against West Carter
After a long delay we finally got on the field to begin battle with West Carter. The B-Team played the first 2 quarters, Bo Arthur scored the first touchdown, followed by a Josh Cox 2 pt conversion. Cody Miller then added a touchdown, 2 pt conversion failed. The final score was 14-0 of the B-Team game.
The A-Team then came in very fired up, and ready to hit. They were on top of a Very, Big West Carter team. They had at least 6 kids bigger than our biggest kid. Our team got a little confidence today in realizing that the bigger they are the harder they fall. Brad Cornwell added the first touchdown, followed by a Matthew Middleton 2 pt conversion. Jalen Davenport then added the next touchdown, 2 pt conversion failed. Cody Rice scored the next touchdown, followed by a Josh Maynard 2 pt conversion. Matthew Middleton then scored the last touchdown of the day, 2 pt conversion failed. The B-Team played the rest of the game and held a very good West Carter team to only 1 first down and no points.

Good Job Panthers!

Sunday's A-Team Game against Ashland Maroon
The Panthers started off fast and never let up till the second half. We scored 24 quick points in the first half, and used quite a few runningbacks in the second half to get them some experience. We had 16 different players running the ball today. Everyone carried the ball for positive yards. Matthew Middleton controlled the first drive, scoring from about 6 yds out and tacked on the 2 pt conversion. Bradley Combs then scored the second touchdown, followed by a Jalen Davenport catch for the 2 pt conversion. Kyle Pauley then added a touchdown, followed by an Bradley Cornwell 2 pt conversion.

Saturdays B-Team
The B-Team Panthers did not perform well at all today. They were flat from the beginning and it never changed. It was hard to get a defensive stop, knowing they used some of their A-Team backfield. Their defense was basically the same also. I want every one to understand, we could have cheated also, and inserted A-Team players, but that is not what the B-Team game is for. It is for young and new players to get the feel of the game and to learn. We might have lost the game, but will win in the end. Our kids got experience and theirs were on the bench.

Thursdays Game
Thursdays game was a little different from the previous game with the Russell Saints. The Panthers jumped on the Saints early and never let up. The Saints did score a touchdown on a kickoff return, which keep in mind we had never kicked off till Tuesday. Kyle Pauley, Cody Clark, and Cody Rice added 2 pt conversions. The score at the end of Regulation was 36-6. We then played 10 more offense and defense plays a piece. Aaron Smith, Brandon Bryant and Josh Maynard ran strong for the Panthers in those 10 plays. Aaron Smith scored on the 9 play, he ran an 65 yd touchdown, 2 pt conversion failed.

Tuesday's Game:
Tuesdays game turned out to be an A and B Team combined, due to Greysbranch bailing out at last minute Monday Night. Since Russell did not have an A and B Team, then our B-Team players had to step and play against older kids. The A-Team started a little slow, but the B-Team made up for it. We played a full 4 quarter game with the A-Team playing first 2 quarters and B-Team playing last 2 quarters. The score at the end of regulation was 2-0, with the only score being an Safety.
We then played 2 more quarters, with the A-Team playing the first quarter and B-Team playing the 2nd quarter. The score of those 2 quarters was 20-6. Jalen Davenport scored, Cody Clark scored and Kyle Pauley scored. Cody Rice added a 2 pt conversion.

The A-team had a sloppy win over Ashland White tonight. We started the game off with our first fumble of the year, giving the ball to the Ashland White team. We held them in their tracks and scored on the following drive. Bradley Cornwell caught a pass and ran to the endzone. Kyle Pauley converted the 2 pt conversion. It was a sloppy, rainy day, tough to get anything going.
