Wednesday, June 24

Congrats and Thank You to the following folks for helping to keep BCOFGSA up and running.  The new board members for BCOFGSA are as follows:

 President - Shane Rice

Vice President - Terry Morgan

Secretary/Treasurer - Dena VanPelt

Equipment Manager - Phil Cole

Tournament Director/Player Agent - Phillip Todora

Member at Large - Ron Matson

Member at Large - Dwan Crochet

While ASA is not for every young lady, those who want to try something new with hopes of someday playing for their high school teams, I extend an invitation to come and try ASA softball for the Fall Season.  You will have a chance to learn new practice routines, experience quality umpiring and establish new friendships throughout the Golden Triangle.

Practices are usually twice a week and tournaments are held in Orange, Vidor, Port Neches, Beaumont and Nederland.

The Fall Season usually runs for 5 weekends.  Beginning September 2nd for 2 weeks, then off a week, 2 more weeks then off a week, then 1 final double elimination tournament to end the season.  All the games are played on Saturday beginning around 8am with the final game starting around 5pm.  Each team is guaranteed at least 3 games each Saturday.

Our Fall Season meeting is scheduled for August 18, 2009.  Site to be determined.

 Thanks, Phillip

We at BCOFGSA would like to give a special thanks to Phillip Todora for all he has done to start this organization and the hard work he's done to keep it going.  Being a part of this league has really enriched the lives of the girls in the Bridge City/Orangefield communities by giving them a quality, competitive league.

Phillip, thank you for everything!

From the board members, parents and all of the girls!
