Welcome to the lair of the 2008 BBA PURPLE PEOPLE EATERS!!!!!
Hello Everyone
Welcome to our website. This website is for players, parents, relatives and fans of the 2008 Bauerstown Purple People Eaters 10 and under slow pitch girls softball team. I'm very pleased to say that most everyone from last years team is back and we welcome a couple of new faces. I want this year to be the most memorable of everyones lives. That is always the goal of a coach. On our team, there are three rules that are primary:
1. HAVE FUN
2. Learn something new each time you are on the field
3. Always give your best efforts
Our schedule will be announced on March 29th, the day of the scheduling meeting with the Greater Pittsburgh Girls Softball League. Bauerstown is pleased to be a part of the GPGSL. More information on the GPGSL and on Bauerstown's role in that organization at a later date.
Our focus as coaches is to give the team the opportunity to be successful without sacrificing the enjoyment of a great experience. The girls will be taught how to work together and to enhance their own skills individually. We are blessed to have unselfish coaches and kids. With everyone working together, I'm sure this year will be a blast!!!!
During the winter, all the girls had the opportunity to work on skill building. We must now take what was learned and transform it on the field. The weather conditions to this point have not co operated.....but better days are ahead.
