7/14/01 THIS WEEKS BIG-UPS GOES TO ROOKIE MARCUS CORNISH
Rookie Marcus Cornish, from City College High School, scores the Warriors touchdown for the game as he drags two defenders over the goalline after making a 17 yard catch. His mentor, Soup Campbell, led the Warriors in catches, but has rubbed of nicely on Marcus. Marcus, way to step up. This week, you get the Big-ups!!!
This Week's Big Ups goes to Haywood "Peaches" Harris #44
The defense got it started as Haywood "Peaches" Harris, #44, drew first blood as he crushed the Colt running back in the endzone, forcing a fumble and recovering it for 6 points. Haywood you receive this week's BIG-UPS.

"BIG LES THE PLAYMAKER" GIVES YOU WHAT YOU'VE BEEN WANTING
On 7/21/01, Lester "Big Les The Playmaker" Horton, mouth of the Warriors, has another break out game. He takes his first reception of the game 57 yards for a touchdown as he stiff arms the cornerback 3 times to walk in the endzone. On his second catch of 67 yards for a touchdown he gives the crowd what they've been waiting for as he pulls of the "Forrest Gump" and continues running through the endzone, to the outer fence at the far end of the stadium, to celebrate his second TD for the day and sealing the Warriors win with over 120 yards receiving. (Check out Forrest Gump to the right).
Big Les lives up to his name "The Playmaker", this week, as he becomes one of the NAFL outstanding game performers for the week. (Check it out on the NAFL message board)

THIS WEEK'S BIG-UPS GOES TO ERIC "PSYCHO" WEST
Eric "Psycho" West, one of America's newest Omega Psi Phi's Q-dogs, returns to his hard hitting ways of 1996-1998, as he burst through the offensive line of the Buck's, causing a fumble in the endzone, creating the Warriors first touchdown of the day. Eric always draws "first blood" on opposing offenses. Eric has always been a Warrior but this week we welcome back "Psycho"! You recieve this week's BIG-UPS.

THE DIRTY SOUTH CONNECTION DOES IT AGAIN!
Your boy Haywood "Peaches" Harris and Antoine "Twon" Nickens, combine once again with an interception each, for back to back weeks. "Twon" is the NAFL NE Northeast division interception leader, while also leading the Warrior's secondary in tackles. "Peaches" is #4 in tackles, sacks and assists and interceptions. Both interceptions, he ran back for touchdowns! Together, the right side of the Warrior defense is unstoppable!

WITH 13 SECONDS LEFT, SOUP MAKES THE CATCH OF THE SEASON TO SEAL THE WARRIOR'S VICTORY OVER THE MONTGOMERY BUCK'S AND PROPEL THE WARRIOR'S INTO THE 2001 NAFL PLAYOFFS. ONE OF BALTIMORE'S BEST QBs, LAMONT BAKER, SAVED THE GAME AS HE BROKE TWO TACKLES AND ROLLED OUT TO COMPLETE THE THROW ALLOWING SOUP TO PROVE HE IS THE WARRIOR'S FRANCHISE PLAYER BY KEEPING HIS CONCENTRATION AFTER BAKER'S PASS WAS TIPPED. GRABBING THE BALL AWAY FROM TWO DEFENDERS ALL WHILE KEEPING HIS FEET IN BOUNDS. SOUP AND BAKER TEAMED UP FOR TWO TOUCHDOWN BOMBS ON THE DAY!

WE HAVE TO KEEP OUR EYE ON LESTER AT ALL TIMES." HE IS CONTAINED WITHIN A CIRCLE OF "ASSASINS" (PIRANHA D-BACKS). AT THE TOP IS THE SCRUB WITH THE DISLOCATED SHOULDER BY WARRIORS ROOKIE CRIS CUMMINGS, HAKI LEE (THE STREAK), TO THE RIGHT OF HIM IS HAR"OLD" WILLIAMS, BELOW HAR"OLD" IS TAREK AISSAOUI (that's pronounced "ASUI"), AND TO HIS LEFT IS ROMAN MORRIS WHO HAS A BROKEN HAND FROM THE WARRIORS GAME. Colts Come To Baltimore & Left Crushed
We have proven once again the Defense of the Warriors is #1. We held the Pittsburgh Colts, picked to win the NAFL 2001, to only 6 points on a hailmary pass. The Warrior's defense got it started and scored the first 6 of the game. The 3 Amigos, Lawrence "P-nut" Jackson, Gregory "Soup" Campbell and Lester "Big Les" Horton took over and combined for 3 touchdown passes for over 200 passing yards on the day, blowing the Colts away. Sorry Pittsburgh, We ain't runnin', We ain't hidin'. With the 3 Amigos on the loose you don't have a chance. See you in Pittsburgh on August 4th!
Another One Bites the Dust
"SOUP" NAMED IN THE NAFL ALL-TIME HISTORY BOOKS
On July 30, 2001 the NAFL released it's record books to date. Gregory "Soup" Campbell named in the history books as the #7 reciever of all time in the North American Football Leauge for receptions for a season with 36 catches in the 2001 season. Soup, keep it up!
WARRIORS ROUT THE #6 RATED MONTGOMERY BUCKS
Last Saturday, 7/28/01 at our home field, the Warriors use a total team effort as we rout the Bucks, who until meeting the Warriors were ranked #6 in the NAFL. The Defense score a touchdown for back to back weeks and never allowed the Bucks to cross the 50 yard line. Our offense took over and marched up and down the field. The Bucks WERE ranked #6, but proved to be an easy day for the Warriors!
Next week we face Pittsburgh in Uniontown, PA. Home of the Colts. Be at Westside Skill Center, on this Saturday at 12:30pm to send us of in STYLE.
Warriors exstinquish the Blazers
The Warriors return home to shut down the Blazers offense with 7 QB sacks and limiting the Blazer offense to merely 3 first downs in the Battle of Baltimore Part 1. The Warriors Running Backs dominated the Defense of Blazers as they marched up and down the field with ease. The score should have been atleast 30-6 but the Warriors were stopped due to blunders inside the 5 yard line 3 times. Next week will tell the tale of the City of Baltimore.
