B.A.L.L.I.N. Ladies Bball: Welcome

It is a pleasure to announce the beginning of the B.A.L.L.I.N. basketball program. Coach Chris Rhea is putting together a team for the 2010 traveling season and is looking forward to getting things started! Coach Rhea has been coaching basketball for the past eight years. Starting in 2001 with the Biddy Basketball program(a program for both boys and girls ages 5-12 that involved building fundamentals) that has helped produce a number of very good basketball players out of the Portland Metropolitan area, to now working with high school level players looking to enhance their abilities and have a chance to play in college. BALLIN is an acronym that stands for: Balancing Athletics Life Lessons and Importance of Nutrition. The reasoning behind this is the belief that it is not just important to be a good basketball player, but to be the better athlete overall and to have the knowledge that is required to take care of your body while being prepared with many of the challenges that may come with being a student athlete. The team will be getting things started with training and practices next spring, but if you are interested in individual workouts, Coach Rhea is available at any time. Whether it is speed and agility, jump shooting, conditioning, nutritional advice, or all of the above, these things can and will be provided to anyone who is interested.
