Welcome to Blackhawk Athletic Club Website
All information about team functions, upcoming events, and news for BACBaseball
Welcome to the Blackhawk Athletic Club Website. We are a 13-14 year old in house team from the Roy Gayle Complex. We play competitive baseball as well as enter several tournaments throughout the summer. This is our inaugural season at Roy Gayle Complex. BAC formed, and accepted the new challenge of the added competition after winning the 2005 city tournament at Greater Rockford Little League. Most team members remain from that team, a few returned because of age restrictions, and we added some key roster spots through recruitment. The summer of 2006 should be just as productive and successful with the group of dedicated young men to the game, and are looking to win it all this year. 13 players=1 team.
*PLEASE REMEMBER*... This website is the main mode of communication to let all players, parents, and fans know the latest updates on the team Schedule on a daily basis. Please be sure to check the team website before games and practices to make sure there is no cancelations or rescheduling.
Anyone interested in BAC athletic wear go to sportswear section and type Blackhawk Athletic Club in search box.

BAC Keeps on Rollin
Saturday BAC took on the Snyders team from Winnebago. It was the dreaded 9:00 a.m. game time. BAC gave Snyders a false sense of hope by letting them tie it up in the top of the 6th inning. In the bottom half of the inning, the BAC bats awoke, and smashed the Snyders pitching staff for 10 runs. Game Ova. Final score 18-8. Adam Westendorf pitched 5 strong innings for the win. Brooks Nesse recorded 7 pitches for the save.
Winning Pitcher: Adam Westendorf (2)
Save: Brooks Nesse (2)

This will be a more intimate practice than you are used to because of the Christian Life class trip, and a dance for some public school kids.(Hopefully your hangin wit your buds and talkin baseball, and not chasin the women. You all know how Tom and I feel about women!!!) For the rest of you guys use this as an opportunity to get a little extra one on one with the coaches to bring up your game a notch. As for Saturday, gametime is 9:00a.m. so be there by 8:15a.m. as there will be no reason for our game to not start on time. Immediately after the game will be opening day celebration, so plan on being at the park at least an hour after the game is over to ensure BAC is represented proudly!!! See most of you Friday and all of you Saturday morning. Someone will be bringing Tom and I coffee, right?

Big Dawgs to stay on the porch!!!
BAC positively determined that the Big Pooches should stay on the porch. Despite being underhandedly quick pitched by SRA, BAC put together enough hits to spank the pups and win 11-4. Sticks still coming around with Brooks, T.J., Spencer, Cary, Bryce, and Matt all recording hits.

BAC takes tough loss on Opening Day
The season started Saturday afternoon for BAC, as they took on Roofing Systems. Tabbed opening day starter, TJ Schuster answered the bell, pitching a gem recording 17 K's over 6 innings, with only 4 BBs. The offense did not come alive that day, but there are signs of improvement with more aggresion at the plate than the previous years team. While only scoring two runs, BAC took the lead into the last inning, to lose it in heartbreaking fashion on a game winning hit. The final was 3-2, leaving BAC confident that they played with arguably Roy Gayle's best team. Another tough test is Wednesday at 5:45 p.m. as BAC takes on last year's division winner LLL.
Final Stats:
TJ Schuster: 6 IP 0 H 1 R 1 ER 17 K's!!! (No Decision)
Puddin Walker: 1 IP 1 H 2 R 0 ER 1 K (Loss 0-1)
Heres to hoping our next game is more successful and satisfying.

BAC Fills Out Roster
Blackhawk Athletic Club would like to welcome it's two latest editions. First, I would like to introduce Thomas LaBrecque. Thomas is a newcomer to the area, and will be a fine addition to the BAC organization. Next, Nicholas Mohr. Sounds as if Nichols has been working hard in the offseason at Triple Play. Everyone join together to make these two feel right at home. Also, just a reminder about practice at Triple Play Friday night. 6:30-7:30. Saturday's practice is still being worked on, so I will update everyone by Wednesday. Keep working hard!!

BAC signs two automatics
BAC would like to welcome it's two newest acquisitions, Matt Mallon, and, Isaac Sprecher. Both are solid defensive players, and will have no problem catching up to the older pitching they are sure to face this upcoming year. I personally cannot wait to plug these guys in and get it on next year!!!
