Learwood:

• 6v6 (fields 1 and 2) are setup and ready for games.  These fields are located east of track near creek.
• 8v8 (field 5/6) is setup and ready for games.  This field is located north of the track.
• Micro fields will be set up the week of 8/24.

Troy:

• 6v6 (field 1A and 1B) are to be setup the week of 8/17.
• 8v8 (field 3) is to be setup the week of 8/17.
• 11v11 (field 2 and 4) are setup and ready for games.

Walker:

• Bay will set these fields up.

Please see home page for field status.  This status will be updated by 4:00pm weekdays and 8:00am weekends if the fields are closed.  There is to be no practices or games on fields that are closed.  Please refer to the home page if in doubt.

In the early spring, the fields are always wet and in late summer fields are always dry.  In either case, to avoid damaging the fields, Coaches, please limit practicing in these areas.  Line drills are extremely hard on the fields.  If you do line drills, please move around to different areas to avoid excessive wear on one spot.

Troy:

• When practicing, please stay out of the obvious wet spots.

Learwood:

• See the Field Usage Policy for additional information about the Learwood Track Infield (football field).

Walker Road Park:

• Walker Road fields are available for Avon Lake teams on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays.
• Avon Lake teams are not permitted to use Walker Road fields on Tuesdays, Thursdays or Sundays except when Learwood and/or Troy are closed for school functions, BUT Bay teams still get priority on these days.
• Saturdays are shared days and the fields are available on a first-come first-server basis.

Avon Lake fields are available for practices and games when there are no school activities using the fields or area. Occassionally the schools request that we close the fields due to parking conflicts with evening school activities. Coaches, please be mindful of these closings and schedule practices accordingly.

If the practice fields are crowded, we ask that any one team only use half of a field. Fields are available on a first-come, first-serve basis, but if you are using a full field and another team comes, please give them half of the field for their practice. Travel team practices do not have priority over Rec practices. Games, whether Rec or Travel, always take precedence over practices.

In order to avoid conflicts between Rec and Travel teams, we are restricting Travel team practices to Troy and Walker Road Park only. Likewise, we are restricting Rec team practices to only Learwood and Walker Road Park. Note: there may be some Travel games played at Learwood and some Rec games played at Troy.

Please check this web site for field closures. If we have too much rain, we may close fields. We will try to have this web site updated by 4:00 PM if fields are to be closed. We may not make it by 4:00, but we will do our best.

Learwood Track: If the Learwood track team or the St. Joes track team is using the track, the track infield is not available for soccer practices. If the track teams are not using the track, you may use the infield for practices, but be aware that we do not maintain that field and the grass may get long.

Learwood Field Recovery: We are trying to rest the field areas that get worn from over use.  Because of this, field locations from season to season may change.  Field maps should be current and tell you where the season games will be played.
