Avanti United FC Team History 1994-2010

2010- AUFC fields teams at U10, U14 and U16.  Our U14 team won the District Rec Copper Championship with a 9-2-0 (W-D-L) record.  They also participated in the Fort Steilacoom Cup 5v5 and the Recreational Cup.  Our U16 team finished in 2nd place in the BU16 Silver division and won the District 3 Recreational Cup Championship and participated in the state round of the tournament.  The U16 team also finished 2nd in the preseason Issaquah Kickoff Tournament. 

2009- AUFC fields teams at U9, U15 and U18.  Our U15 and U18 teams participated in the Washington Youth Soccer Presidents Cup.  The U18 team finished 9-3-1 in the District Silver division, their third top 2 finish in a row.  The U15's finished 5-3-2, good enough for 4th place in the District Rec division.  The U18 team won the pre-season Peter Lechner Memorial Cup in Issaquah.  The U18's also took 1st and 2nd in the pre-season Fort Steilacoom Cup 5v5 tournament.

2008 - Avanti United fields teams at U8, U14 and U17 in 2008.  In one of the most prolific years in our history, our U17 team won four of the five tournaments they entered (Wenatchee Apple Cup, Peter Lechner Memorial, Fort Steilacoom Cup 5 a-side and the Washington Youth Soccer Presidents Cup, the states Recreational State Champion at BU17!!).  The U17's also finished second in the BU18 Mixed division in District 3.  The BU14 team won the preseason Fort Steilacoom Cup 5 a-side tournament and competed in the Lighthouse Cup and the District portion of the WYS Presidents Cup.   

2007 - Avanti United fields three teams in 2007.  One playing BU16 District Silver, one playing BU14 Home Silver, and one playing U7 Home league.  The U16's won the preseason Lakewood 5 a-side and finished runner up in the preseason Peter Lechner Memorial.  They U16's also finished in 2nd place in the District 3 Silver Division with an 11-1-1 (W-D-L) record; and competed the District 3 portion of the WSYSA Presidents Cup.  The U14's in their first year with Avanti United, competed in the preseason Lighthouse Cup in Norpoint and finished 5th in the TPCJSA Home League with a 4-2-5 (W-D-L) record.

2006 - Avanti United fields two teams in 2006.  One playing in the BU17 District Silver Division and another in the BU15 District Silver Division.  The U17's finished the season at 4-1-6 (W-D-L), good enough for 5th place.  They also finished 3rd in the preseason Peter Lechner Memorial Tournament, participated in the preseason Lakewood 5 a-side, and won the Washington State Presidents Cup in Aberdeen in December.  The BU15's won the preseason Peter Lechner Memorial Tournament and participated in the District portion of the Washington State Presidents Cup Tournament.  The BU15 also finished third in the District Silver Division.

2005 - Avanti United again fields two teams this year.  The new U16's, playing in the District Silver Ruby division, and the U14's playing in the District Silver Diamond division.  The U14's finished the season at 7-1-6 (W-D-L), good enough for 4th place.  The U14's also finished 3rd at the Peter Lechner Memorial Issaquah Kickoff, as well as participating in the South Mason Kickoff and the Presidents Cup.  The new U16 team took the championship at the Peter Lechner Memorial Issaquah Kickoff and played in the state semi-final round of the Presidents Cup.  The U16's finished the division with an 8-0-4 (W-D-L) record, good enough for 3rd place. 

2004 - Starting the year with a slight name change, Avanti United fielded 2 teams this year. The BU18 Mixed division team , and the new U13 Silver division team. Avanti United U13 team participated in the preseason Kitsap Kickoff and finished with a 5-4-5 (W-D-L) record, which was good enough for 5th place.  Avanti United U18 team participated in the preseason Kitsap Kickoff, South Mason Kickoff and finished 3rd at the preseason Issaquah Kickoff.  Avanti United U18 finished with a 5-1-8 (W-D-L) record in the regular season.  They also participated in the Presidents Cup. 

2003 - Avanti finished the season 6-0-6 (W-D-L), tied for third place in the BU17 Silver division. Avanti FC participated in the preseason Issaquah kickoff and the post season Presidents Cup tournaments.

2002 - Finished the season 7-2-3 (W-D-L), ranking 2nd in the BU16 Silver division. Avanti finished second in the preseason Issaquah Kickoff and made it to the semi-finals of the State Presidents Cup.

2001 - Finished the season 7-0-3 (W-D-L), ranking 3rd in the BU15 Rec division with our first entirely new lineup since 1994. We played in the preseason Harbor Cup and progressed to the semi-finals of the state Presidents Cup.

2000 - Finished the season with a 9-5-0 (W-D-L) record, giving us our second division championship; Playing in the U18 Silver Division. Won the title on the last day of the year with a 2-1 win in West Seattle. Reached the Semi-Finals of the Pasco Invitational and participated in the State American Cup.

1999 - Finished the season with a 10-1-3 (W-D-L) record, which was good for second place in the U18 District Gold Division. Avanti won the Pasco Invitational Tournament and finished second in the preseason Harbor Cup.

1998 - Finished the season with an 8-3-1 (W-D-L) regular season record, good for second place in the District Silver Division. Avanti won the preseason Harbor Cup Tournament in Gig Harbor by going 3-0-1 and defeating fellow Lakewood team, the Revolution 2-0 after losing to them 4-2 earlier in the competition. Advanced to the semi finals of the State American Cup Tournament, and won the preseason 5 a side tournament put on by the Lakewood and South Tacoma Soccer Clubs.

1997 - Finished the season with an 11-3-0 record, which was good enough to secure our first division title in our first year at the District level. Avanti outscored its opponents nearly 5 to 1, scoring 69 goals in 14 games. We also competed in the post season Commissioners Cup Tournament.

1996 - Finished the season with a 3-3-6 record, earning seventh place in the nine team Home League Gold Division

1995 - Finished the season with a 7-2-4 record, which was good for third place in the six team Home League Silver Division

1994 - In our first year and under the name "Spikers", we finished the season at 10-0-5 which was good for second place in the Home League Bronze Division
