8TH GRADE JAGUARS WIN STATE!!!
The Jaguars went 5 - 0 for the weekend beating the N.O. Dynasty 48 - 11, Team Nola 42 - 33, LA Starz 45 - 35, N.O. Cavaliers 47 - 29 and finally beating the LA Roundballers 52 - 44 to win the District Championship.

8TH JAGUARS WIN THE 2011 N.O. SUPER REGIONAL AND THE 4TH GRADE JAGUARS PLACE 2ND
N.O. Super
The 8th Grade Jaguars finished the weekend 6-0 to claim the title at the 2011 N.O. Super Regional.  The Jaguars defeated Team Shockas 59 - 35 and the La Elite 63 - 17 in pool play.  In bracket play the Jaguars dominated the competition beating the B.R. Celtics 70 - 24, Houma Elite 54 - 29, LA Bayou Flames 58 - 48 and finally beating Team Nola in the championship game 59 - 38.
The 4th Grade Jaguars went 4 - 1 at the Super Regional beating Team Nola 21 - 18 and N.O. Stallions 24 - 15 in pool play.  In bracket play they defeated the La Lightning 34 - 18 and the N.O. Elite 24 - 15, before falling to ATR Xplosion 32 - 45 in the championship game.  GOOD JOB GUYS!!!

2011 Battle of the South

9th Grade Ascension Jaguars Win The 2011 Battle of the South Tournament

 The Jaguars defeated the Jackson Celtics 69 - 38, the Warriors Select 57 - 19, the Alabama Force 60 - 23 and The Gulf Coast All-star Heat 58 - 38.  The Jaguars meet the Jackson Tigers in the semi-finals and won 59 - 41.  In the Championship game the Jaguars faced the Texas Hotshots and won going away 65 - 45.  The 9th Grade Jaguars are now a perfect 10 - 0 on the season.

THREE JAGUAR TEAMS WIN CHAMPIONSHIPS AT THE I-10 AAU SUPER REGIONAL
THE 6TH GRADE JAGUARS BEAT THE LA BAYOU FLAMES 29 - 21 TO WIN THE SIXTH GRADE CHAMPIONSHIP AND THE 8TH GRADE JAGUARS BEAT THE LA BAYOU FLAMES 61 - 42 TO WIN THE EIGHT GRADE CHAMPIONSHIP. FINALLY, THE 9TH GRADE JAGUARS BEAT THE SPORTS ACADEMY 64 - 41 TO WIN THE THIRD SUPER REGIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP FOR THE JAGUARS OVER THE MARCH 18 - 20 WEEKEND.

13U JAGUARS WIN THE SWOOSH ULTIMATE SHOWCASE IN LAS VEGAS
THE JAGUARS WENT 6 - 0 TO WIN THEIR FINAL TOURNAMENT OF THE SEASON.  THE 13U JAGUARS FINISHED THE SEASON WITH A 48 - 10 RECORD.  CONGRATULATIONS ON A SUCCESSFUL SEASON!!!

13U Jaguars Place 14th at Division I AAU Nationals
THE 13U JAGUARS WENT 5 - 4 AT THE DIVISION I AAU NATIONALS ADVANCING ALL THE WAY TO THE ELITE 8.  THEY ARE CURRENTLY 42 - 10 ON THE SEASON.  GOOD JOB GUYS!!!

11U AND 12U JAGUARS WIN THE BR BALLERS' HOOP CLASSIC
BR BALLERS 11U CHAMP
The 11U Jaguars won their 2nd championship of the season 48 - 18 over the Baton Rouge Ballers.  The 11U Jaguars went 3 - 0 over the weekend.  The 12U Jaguars won their 1st tournament of the season beating the BR Warriors 49 - 45.  The 12U Jaguars went 2 - 1 over the weekend.  Great Job!!!!

11U AND 13U JAGUARS WIN CAJUN INVITATIONAL

During the weekend of May 15 - 16, the 11u and 13u Jaguars traveled to Madisonville and won the championships of their respective age groups.  The 11u Jaguars won the championship over the Wilkerson County Panthers 42 - 38 and the 13u Jaguars won the championship over the Acadiana Stars 54 - 19.  This was the first tournament title of the year for the 11u Jaguars and the 5th championship of the year for the 13u Jaguars.  KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK GUYS!!!

13U JAGUARS MOVE UP TO NO. 7 IN NATIONAL AAU RANKINGS

Monday, April 19
13U JAGUARS WIN HOUSTON HOOPS TOURNAMENT AND 12U JAGUARS PLACE 2ND
13U HOUSTON 2010

The 13U team won their 3rd consecutive tournament over the weekend.  They went 4 – 0 for the tournament, blowing through the competition.  The Jaguars beat the Texas Tigers 53 – 35, The Fort Bend Stars 68 – 39, the Houston Cagers 55 – 41 and Houston Elite in the championship game 56 – 39.  The 13U Jaguars are currently 15 – 0 on the season.  Keep up the good work guys!!!

 

The 12U team placed 2nd over the weekend.  The 12U team beat D. Gibbs Hoops 38 - 37 and the lost to the Texas Tigers 27 - 29 to finish pool play 1 - 1. In bracket play the Jaguars beat Total Package 41 - 22 and D. Gibbs Hoops 53 - 47 before falling to the Gulf Coast Pistons 41 - 44 in the championship game.

13U ASCENSION JAGUARS WIN THE N.O. SUPER REGIONAL
NO Super 2010

The 13U Jaguars won their second Super Regional for the year.  The Jaguars went 5 – 0 beating the LA Starz 38 – 30 and the Lafayette Celtics 39 – 31 in pool play.  In Bracket play the Jaguars defeated the SW LA Hoops 44 – 36 and beat the La Starz in the semi-finals 42 – 30.  In the championship game the Jaguars faced the Lafayette Celtics again and prevailed 61 – 56.  Keep up the good work guys!!!!

13U JAGUARS FINISH 5 - 0 TO WIN THE LAFAYETTE SUPER REGIONAL
During the weekend of March 19 - 21 the 13u jags blew through the competition to win the Lafayette Super Regional.  The Jaguars went 5 – 0 for the weekend .  Coach Julien in his 1st tournament as a Jaguar coach led the team masterfully throughout the weekend.  The Jaguars beat Team LA 62 – 53 and the Arkansas Celtics 57 – 47 in pool play.  In the 1st round of bracket play the Jaguars beat the LA Starz 61 – 52.  Next up for the Jaguars were the SW LA Hoops.  The Jaguars came out strong and locked down the host team 61 -52 to advance to the championship game.  In the championship game the Jaguars fought threw their weary legs to win the championship over the Crescent City Legends 53 -45.

13U JAGUARS ARE RANKED 12TH IN THE NATION AND 14U JAGUARS ARE RANKED 19TH IN THE NATION!!!

12U JAGUARS PLACE 12TH AT DIVISION I NATIONALS!!!!!!
Congratulations to the 12U Jaguars, the first team in the organization's history to place at Nationals.  The Jaguars compiled a record of 5 - 3 in Hampton, Virginia.  The Jaguars finish the season with a 36 - 10 record.

The Jaguars went 5 - 2 at Nationals, advancing to the Sweet 16.  The 13U Jaguars finished the season with a 35 - 11 record.  Congratulations on a Great Season!!!!

12U JAGUARS STATE RUNNER-UP
12U State Runner-up
The 12 and under Ascension Jaguars basketball team placed 2nd at the Louisiana AAU State Tournament held May 8 - 10 in Metairie.  The Jaguars finished the tournament with a 5 - 1 record.  The Jaguars defeated Team Shockaz 59 - 12, the New Orleans Storm 27 - 24, the Cajun Youth Bigdogs 58 -9, and the New Orleans Stallions 63 - 20.  The next game for the Jaguars was the semi-final game where the Jaguars faced the defending state champs, the Slidell Elite.  The Jaguars defeated the Slidell Elite in overtime 47 - 43 to advance to the State Championship.  In the State Championship game the Jaguars started off hot, however, they were unable to maintain their hot start and fell to the Bayou Flames.
