Artesia Wrestling: Welcome
2008-2009 Season Upon Us!Welcome to the 2008-2009 Artesia Wrestling Season. Returning wrestlers and interested newcomers prepare yourselves for the hard work that awaits us. In my first season as head coach I plan to put my years of experience and education to the test. In return I ask that you test yourselves everyday that you step on the mat. Those of you who have gone through the proving grounds you know who you are and I expect you to be my leaders. Those of you who are new to this sport, you have to ask yourself - "why do I want to wrestle?" If your looking for a sport that you think might be fun, then I have news for you. Wrestling is not always fun. In fact, at times it can be a painful and intense process. This sacrifice does not merit such a simple reward as just being "fun". The rewards earned through this sport run deep to the soul and last a lifetime. If you are willing to test and challenge your abilities, then you may have what it takes to last in this sport. If you think these comments are are funny and too much or over the top, then I may not want you on my team. This sport is for the seriously dedicated...dedicated to yourself...dedicated to your teamates. Prepare yourselves gentlemen, greatness awaits us.
