12/7/09 All JO players (both teams) are required to attend the an Officiating Clinic. The Armstrong JO teams are scheduled to attend the clinic at Wayzata HS this Sunday (12/13/09) from 2-4PM. This is NOT optional! Wayzata HS: 4955 Peony Lane N, Plymouth, MN 55446 Use West parking lot and enter through althletic hallway doors
11/30/09 Reminder! First JO practice will be this Wednesday, 12/2/09.
For the 15s team, the practice times are as follows: 7 - 9 on Mondays, and 7:30 - 9:30 on Wednesdays!
For the 16s team, the practice times are 8 - 10 on both Monday and Wednesday!
11/10/09 Reminder! Armstrong JO Tryouts will be held this Sunday 11/15/09 at 9am at AHS. Please bring your parent and proper tryout volleyball equiptment on Sunday! The handout is located under "Handouts" to the left of this page. In the event you are selected for a team you will need to fill out some forms (we will have these available) and some post-dated checks. For further info please call Karl at 952-406-2879. High School season is in full swing - Congratulations to the 48 young athletes that were selected for our 2009 teams! Good luck this fall! 9/4/09 Great week for the high school program! Falcons sweep Benilde St Margaret's 25-16, 25-8, 26-24 on Tuesday Falcons sweep Bloomington Jefferson 25-14, 25-19, 25-21 on Thursday Sophomore and JV team remain unbeaten as well - Great job ladies! 08/27/09 Falcons sweep the opener at Park Center 25-5, 25-11, 25-16 The JV and Sophomores also won their matches - Congrats!
07/14/09 Captains Practice dates announced August 10-14th @ AHS 10am-11:30am For further info contact Jenny Doeden or Dominique Thompson! Fall volleyball tryouts are right around the corner!
We will make team placements as soon as the 19th and as late as the 21st depending on the team in question. Typically we keep 10 athletes on the varsity, 10 on the JV, 10 on the sophomore team and 9 on both the 9A and 9B teams. Certain circumstances could lead us to deviate from these numbers, but that is our yearly expectation. At the lower levels we make team placements based more on what your potential is, rather than what you can do now. It is hot in the gym in August so please bring appropriate volleyball equiptment, (gym shoes, a t-shirt long enough to tuck in and your own water bottle) you might want to bring a 2nd pair of socks and a 2nd t-shirt to change into after the lunch break. If you are placed on the JV, sophomore, 9A or 9B you will report to the gym Aug 24-28th for two-a-day sessions that week. If you placed on the varsity, you will report for practice on Saturday Aug 22nd at 10am and all ensuing Saturdays throughout the season in addition to all regularly scheduled practices.
