Clif McKenzie
Clif Bio pic

Clif McKenzie has been the head Coach of the Arizona Elite for eighteen years. In addition to this position, he has been the Head Track Coach at Scottsdale Community College, an Assistant Track Coach at Arizona State University, and the Head Track Coach at NLM ULM High School in Germany. His passion for coaching, combined with his commitment to working with each athlete to develop the individual skills necessary to compete at the highest level, has made him one of the most respected youth track coaches in the state of Arizona.

Additonally, Coach McKenzie is  a level I and II certified coach by the USATF. He currently serves as the President of the Arizona Association of USA Track and Field. He was selected as a member of the 2008 IAAF World Junior Team staff that competed in Bydgoszcz, Poland.  He also served as Head Coach for the USA World Youth Championship Team that competed in Ostrava, Czech Republic in 2007 and assistant coach for Team USA in Marrakech, Morocco in 2005. Coach McKenzie also serves as an executive director for the Scottsdale Unified School District.

An accomplished elite track athlete himself, Coach McKenzie was an All American in track at Arizona State University. While at ASU, he was a member of the 1977 record setting 4X400 relay team and is a member of the ASU Hall of Fame. Coach McKenzie participated on four USA Track teams, and has also been inducted into the University of Pennsylvania (Penn Relays) Wall of Fame.

  • 2003 Winter Games Olympic torch bearer
  • Master level track official for USATF Arizona High School Vice Chair for officials.  


Cassandra Cline-McKenzie

Cassandra Cline - McKenzie has been an Assistant Coach for the Arizona Elite for thirteen seasons, focusing on multi-events and providing strength and conditioning assistance for athletes at all levels.

A native of Arizona, Coach Cline attended Payson High School where she excelled in track and field. Cline held the school record in the 200,400 and 800 meters, and earned state conference team honors for three consecutive years in these events and on relay teams as well. In 1984 she was invited to compete on the International Sports Exchange team traveling to Germany. She attended SCC on a track scholarship, and graduated from Arizona State University with honors.

Coach Cline's experience and love for track and field extends beyond her position at the Arizona Elite. She uses her experience and dedication to the sport to help each athlete develop a competive spirit while having fun. Her knowledge and enthusiasm is drawn from her own experience and love for track; Coach Cline still competes at various track meets in the 200, 400 and 800 meters and relays. Vicky Davis
Vicky Davis bio
Vicky has been coaching with the AZ Elite for three years and is USATF certified.  She specializes in coaching hurdles and jumps.
As a Nebraska native, Vicky ran club track from the age of 8 through college.
Her father was a coach and Big 12 official.  Vicky helped him coach his club team as a high school and college athlete.
She holds three Nebraska State high school records and won 12 gold medals at the Nebraska State Meet in her 4 years of high school track.
She is an All-American in Track and Field at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln.
There she was a member of the 4x 100 meter hurdle relay that set Collegiate and World Record in 1986 and is on the Husker's "Wall of Fame".


Chauncey Antonio Crenshaw

  • Started competing in track and field at age ten
  • Set a national record in the 660 yard dash as a sixth grader (class "C")
  • Set Evansville Central High School records in the 880 yard run and mile relay (both records still standing)
  • Competed in track & field and cross country for Arizona State University
  • Earned a Bachelor of Science in Justice studies from ASU, and completing Masters degree in Public Administration at Western International University

  • 1979 Indiana All State honors - cross country and track
  • 1979 high school midwest indoor 880 yard run champion
  • 1978 high school undefeated city and sectional cross country championship team
College:  Arizona State University
  • 1980 Sun Angel 4 x 800 meter relay champion
  • alternate on the ASU 1984 4 x 800 meters national indoor championship team
  • two time perfect mile champion 1988 & 1989, and runner up in 1990
