Clif McKenzie has been the head Coach of the Arizona Elite for eighteen years. In addition to this position, he has been the Head Track Coach at Scottsdale Community College, an Assistant Track Coach at Arizona State University, and the Head Track Coach at NLM ULM High School in Germany. His passion for coaching, combined with his commitment to working with each athlete to develop the individual skills necessary to compete at the highest level, has made him one of the most respected youth track coaches in the state of Arizona.
Additonally, Coach McKenzie is a level I and II certified coach by the USATF. He currently serves as the President of the Arizona Association of USA Track and Field. He was selected as a member of the 2008 IAAF World Junior Team staff that competed in Bydgoszcz, Poland. He also served as Head Coach for the USA World Youth Championship Team that competed in Ostrava, Czech Republic in 2007 and assistant coach for Team USA in Marrakech, Morocco in 2005. Coach McKenzie also serves as an executive director for the Scottsdale Unified School District.
An accomplished elite track athlete himself, Coach McKenzie was an All American in track at Arizona State University. While at ASU, he was a member of the 1977 record setting 4X400 relay team and is a member of the ASU Hall of Fame. Coach McKenzie participated on four USA Track teams, and has also been inducted into the University of Pennsylvania (Penn Relays) Wall of Fame.

Cassandra Cline - McKenzie has been an Assistant Coach for the Arizona Elite for thirteen seasons, focusing on multi-events and providing strength and conditioning assistance for athletes at all levels.
A native of Arizona, Coach Cline attended Payson High School where she excelled in track and field. Cline held the school record in the 200,400 and 800 meters, and earned state conference team honors for three consecutive years in these events and on relay teams as well. In 1984 she was invited to compete on the International Sports Exchange team traveling to Germany. She attended SCC on a track scholarship, and graduated from Arizona State University with honors.
Coach Cline's experience and love for track and field extends beyond her position at the Arizona Elite. She uses her experience and dedication to the sport to help each athlete develop a competive spirit while having fun. Her knowledge and enthusiasm is drawn from her own experience and love for track; Coach Cline still competes at various track meets in the 200, 400 and 800 meters and relays.
