2009 Sun Devil Aqua Sport Camp
at Arizona State University

Session 2: June 8-12, 2009

Session 4: June 22-26, 2009

This summer, Arizona State University Head Diving Coach Mark Bradshaw, is offering the Sun Devil Aqua/Sports Camp. The camp will be based at the beautiful Mona Plummer Aquatics Center on the campus of Arizona State University. Instruction will be provided in the areas of swimming, springboard diving, and trampoline. Your child will receive instruction from some of the finest athletes in America. The experiences of our instructors will result in a fun, rewarding summer experience for your child.

DAILY SCHEDULE:

9:00am Drop off at the lobby of the aquatics complex/check-in @ 323 E 6th St. The facility is actually located on E 6th St. just down from the SE corner of E 6th St. and College Ave.
9:00-Noon Rotate through 4 stations: Swimming, Diving, Trampoline and Fun Swim
There will be a bathroom/re-apply sunscreen break after first two stations and then again before free swim.
12:00-12:30 Free Swim
12:30-1:00 Lunch
(Note: Campers must bring their own lunch and snack. Lunch will NOT be provided.)
1:00- 2:15 Crafts at pool for campers 10 yrs and younger. Campers 11 yrs and older will walk to PE gym
West to play various gym ball games. Basketball, Soccer and Frisbee golf are a few.
2:15-2:45 Board Games and Videos at the pool.
2:45-4:15 Recreational Swimming and Diving
4:30 p.m. Pick up at the aquatics complex lobby

Lunch will NOT be provided by the camp and is held at the pool. Campers must bring their own lunch and snack. Refrigeration is provided. Also note that from 9:30 to 11:30 every Friday is Olympic Day where campers compete in swimming and diving events with individual awards.

Camp runs for 4 one-week sessions, Monday through Friday, beginning Monday, June 1st and ending Friday, June 26th, from 9:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Before and after care is available from 8:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. and from 4:30 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. for an additional fee.

PARKING
There are city pay meters located on E 6th St. on the W side of College Ave.

FEES:
The cost for a one week session is $180. Discounts are available for ASU employees & students, multiple campers from same family or multiple week campers. Twenty five dollars of your online registration fee is non-refundable and well be held as an administrative cost. The total cost due on the first day of camp equals $180 (or discounted rate) minus the non-refundable registration fee plus any additional charges. You can register for one, two, three or all four weeks.

Before and after care can be provided. The cost is an additional $30 for before care, 8:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m., $15 for after care, 4:30 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., or $40 for both. Full payment is due when you drop your child off on the first day of each camp session.

To participate in the Sun Devil Aqua/Sport Camp, each camper MUST be comfortable in water depths that exceed his or her height.

CAMP DISCOUNTS:
You can choose one of the following three discounts. You may choose only one type of discount.

  • ASU employee/student discount. $185 per child per session for ASU employees and students with children. Bring a copy of your ASUID to camp. When signing up multiple children you must do SEPERATE registrations in order to get the proper discount.
  • Multiple Child Discount. For parents registering more than one child from the same family, the cost will come out to be $170 per session for each child. Note: In order to accommodate this discount, the first child will be charged $180 and the second child will be charged $170. The total is equivalent to each child being charged $175. Any additional children - e.g. 3rd child or 4th child - will be charged $160. )
  • Multiple Session Discount. For children who attend more than one weekly session, the cost will come out to be $170 for each week attended. Note: In order to accommodate this discount, registrants will be charged $180 for the first session and $170 for the second session. The total is equivalent to two $170 sessions. Any additional sessions - e.g. 3rd or 4th session - will be displayed as $170 per session at check-out. )

REFUNDS:

For full refund (minus registration fee, minus the $25 non refundable fee) if the director is contacted at least a week prior to first day of the camp registered for.
No partial refunds.
You may elect to transfer your child's participation to an alternate week.

Welcome to the Sun Devil Aqua Sport Camp


Greetings Sun Devil Aqua Sport Campers: This summer, Arizona State University Head Diving coach Mark Bradshaw is offering the Sun Devil Aqua Sport Camp. The camp is based at the beautiful Mona Plummer aquatics complex on the campus of Arizona State University.
Our camp mission is to introduce campers of all skill levels to various water sport disciplines - swimming, diving, water games and trampoline. Doing so in a safe and comfortable environment.



The Aqua Sport camp is not an intensive sport camp. It is however, a camp that combines a unique blend of fun all the while learning skills in these disciplines. Rest assured, participation and effort as well as learning good techniques are components of this camp. We want our campers to experience the fun and enjoyment of the water and the overall camp experience.

Our instructors include some or the finest athletes at ASU. Furthermore, our camp supervising instructors, who are all former swimmers and divers, are currently certified teachers working in the valley. Their knowledge will result in a rewarding summer camp experience for all.

Also, if using map quest it will tell you the pool is located by making a left on E 6th St when actually the facility is a right turn or on the W side of college ave. on 6th St.

Camp Refund Policy
A refund will be allowed for those who contact the director at least one week prior to the first day of camp registered for. The refund amount will be the total cost of camp minus the $25 non-refundable registration fee and the online processing fee. Once camp has started you may only transfer the days remaining in the camp to another week.



To participate in the Sun Devil Aqua/Sport Camp, each camper MUST be comfortable in water depths that exceed his or her height.
