Fall/Winter 2009-2010 Season
Due to colder weather, the outdoor Sunday clinics have been cancelled.
In November, the clinics will return when we move inside at the HS gym.

All players are encouraged to "bring a friend"
We will have pitching and catching training also. The times,dates along with cost will be determined.

Recent news articles have surfaced an issue regarding potential improper behavior of an adult with a child. The article also referenced this individual was a youth coach. VAA conducts criminal background checks on all of its volunteers that have contact and responsibility for the athletes
Program Discription and Parent Communication Information: see handouts
VAA offers a Traveling Fast Pitch Softball program for 10U, 12U, 14U and 16U. Ages groupings are determined by age as of January 1, 2009. Practices begin in April and league games/tournaments are scheduled from mid-May through July. League play consists of 10 to 12 doubleheaders played on either a Monday/Wednesday or Tuesday/Thursday basis. Home games are scheduled at Apple Valley High School fields with the remainder at locations throughout the South Metro.The 10U level will offer 2 options for players. The first option (Gold) is the full program including tournamentplay. The second option (Brown—10U only) will offer 1 in season tournament as well as the end of the season tournaments (state qualifier and state tournament). Players will sign up for 10U Brown during the registration process. Players will be given the choice of playing at the “gold” level based on their tryout scores. The “Gold” option requires a total cost of $215 which will be collected at the time of the team announcements.The emphasis in the program is on skill development, team play, sportsmanship and enjoying the game.
