In preparation for the 2012 season for the Angels, we would like to start fundraising here in the offseason. I would greatly appreciate everyone's participation because there will be many expenses this upcoming summer.
In saying that, I would like to remind everyone that fundraising gives you no guarantee of making the team. However, this is still a great idea to get a jumpstart on your fundraising for the upcoming season.
The first fundraising opportunity is one that we did last year with great success. We are going to do a Raffle for Hornets tickets. I will have the raffle tickets available in a couple of weeks. If you would like to sell these raffle tickets please let me know. We've got some good games and great seats that we will be raffling. Please contact me for more details regarding this fundraiser.
The second fundraiser that will be required from every player who makes this Angel team is to sell Dominos Pizza Cards. We will be asking each player to sell 20 cards. These cards will be available to sell in the beginning of February.
Our third fundraiser actually should be a really fun event. We are going to have a day at Reginelli's Pizza in New Orleans where a percentage of all of the proceeds sold will be donated to the Angels. We are going to have you all invite all of your friends, families, schools, anyone you know to come. We will also have our own Pizza party there to kick off the new season.
Here are some other fundraising opportunities that are pretty easy. I have established an Online Fundraising Store. This store primarily sells magazines and cookies. Please spread the word of this simple fundraising opportunity. You can earn yourself free movie tickets among other prizes.
To get to the online store from the website go to the link on the left side of the page "support our team". From there, click on the shop now link under the magazine fundraiser. That will lead you to our online store. Invite friends, family, and just about anyone who would be willing to participate and contribute to our fundraising oportunities!
Also, as we do every year, we have the opportunity to sell ESPN Magazine Subscriptions. You get to keep 75% of each subscription that you are able to sell. If you need are interested in doing that and need more information please let me know about that also.
Thanks,
Coach Denis
