Registration for the Spring 2010 Season is now open!

In-Person Registration Events will be held as follows:Tuesday, December 8 from 5 to 7 PM at the Raley's Event Center (San Juan & Sunset)
Saturday, December 12 from 12 to 3 PM at the Round Table Pizza in Orangevale (Madison/Greenback & Main St.)
Monday, December 14 from 5 to 7 PM at the Raley's Event Center (Madison & Hazel)
Wednesday, January 6 from 5 to 7 PM at the Raley's Event Center (San Juan & Sunset)
Wednesday, January 13 from 5 to 7 PM at the Raley's Event Center (Madison & Hazel)
When you register, we will collect a $100 registration fee ($50 for 6U T-ball) for each player, which includes the cost of the league-supplied uniform. We now offer a $10 sibling discount for famiies with multiple players. Financial assistance options are available. There will also be a mandatory fundraiser (e.g., candy sale) taking place at the start of the season. As a non-profit organization run entirely by volunteers, each family without a parent/guardian engaged as a manager, coach or board member is also required to contribute 4 hours per season helping with operations like field maintenance, the snack bar and our opening and closing ceremonies. A $100 volunteer hours "buy-out" option is available for those who simply can't help, but what our girls really need is your time. Working together we will keep our league strong for our community for years to come!

If you can make the time to make a difference, let us know - we will get you any coaching paperwork and training you will need to be able to help out this Spring.
ALL COACHES - NEW AND RETURNING - MUST COMPLETE NEW ASA BACKGROUND CHECK FORMS FOR 2010 - NO EXCEPTIONS*
*This is an ASA decision, not an American River decision
We will be having more than one coaches' clinic before the start of the Spring 2010 season, so let us know early if you are interested so you don't miss out on anything important!

The American River Girls Softball Association Spring season will run from March through June of 2010. All girls between the ages of 5 and 16, regardless of experience or ability, who reside or go to school within the ARGSA league boundaries <--click here for a map are welcome to come out and be part of our league.

How good are we at what we do? The American River Girls Softball Association has historically been one of the most successful leagues of its size and kind in Northern California. Most recently, our 2009 10U and 12U All Star teams both won their age brackets at the NorCal Fastpitch All-Star tournament, and won the right to represent the Sacramento region at the Western Nationals Tournament held in Portland, Oregon. This is a testament to the quality instruction and support that all of our players receive from their coaches and league personnel throughout the year.

10U & 12U both took 3rd place in "B" Association Foothill Jamboree tournament!
Both teams qualified for the Western Nationals in Oregon!
