The 2008 American Legion Little League season has begun and it appears will be our best year ever.  We have a lot of new faces and I would like to welcome them all to our family.  We hope you feel at home and find a home at American Legion Little League.

The first week is in the books, and has been a great success.  By success I mean that the kids are learning the game, and most importantly, having fun.  The coaches are doing a great job.  I commend them on knowing why we are here.  Parent support has been great.  We couldn't do it without you.

As I walk around the facility, during the games, I see so many little things that happen.  Some funny, some sad, but, they all remind me of why I've been doing this for so many years.  I am so proud to be a small part something that touches so many kids lives.  When I see the smiles and hear the laughter of these kids while they're at the ball park, I know we must be doing something right.  Everybody has memories about their Little League career, and that's what we're doing at American Legion Little League, we're making memories. 

I've heard a lot of people say that they don't know what to do with their lives, or they just don't know why they were put here on Earth.  Every time I unlock that press box door to get ready for another night of Little League, I know exactly why the Lord put me here, and I thank him for it everyday.
