2013 AMERICAN FREEDOM/3rd ANNUAL SUMMER EXPOSURE INVITATIONAL
d
The American Freedom Fastpitch Softball Club is now accepting applications for its American Freedom/3rd Annual Summer Exposure Invitational to be held on July 20-21, 2013. The AF/Summer Exposure Invitiational is quickly becoming a must-attend recruiting destination for top travel programs and college coaches from throughout the Southwest, Midwest, and Southeast regions.
D
In 2012, we hosted 32 top travel programs from 6 states, including Arkansas, Kansas, Louisiana, Missouri, Oklahoma, and Texas. The event also attracted more than 28 college coaches, including top Div. I schools, nationally-ranked Div. II and III schools, the top JUCO programs throughout the region.
a
At the request of college coaches, in 2013, we will limit the 5-game guarantee to 24 teams. In 2013, we likely will include 8-12 top 16u teams, again at the request of college coaches. All teams again will play all games at the one, 4-field complex at Allen Station Softball Complex, in Allen, Tx., a north Dallas suburb. This is one of the finest college showcase softball venues in the state.
D
In an effort to continue to hold down participating team's costs and continued to meet our commitment to providing only the best, most experienced umpires by paying a premium, we have lowered the team entry fee to $400, plus $50 per umpires, for those teams who pay before April 1, 2013. A substantial portion of the revenue from team entry fees is used to cover the travel costs of college coaches who recruit the event.
d
There is no reason to wait to seek an invitation to this. Any team that is accepted and pays its entry fee, and thereafter, qualifies for 2013 ASA/Premier Gold Nationals or 16u ASA/Premier Nationals and decides to withdraw from the event will be refunded 100 percent of their entry fee if requested in writing within 7 days of qualifying.
d
The American Freedom intends to grow the prestige of this college showcase event to the same level as other national-class, summer recruiting destinations such as DeMarini in Chicago, Team New Jersey, and Champions Cup. Our intent is to accept only nationally competitive travel teams who also are accepted into other premier national events such as Colorado Fireworks, Independence Day, Champions Cup, and Ronald McDonald.
D
This event has sold out each year. In addition, the showcase will again be held the weekend after the American Freedom/Division I College Clinic, which features 15 of the top NCAA Division I college coaches in the region. This individual player clinic has become one of the top skills camps in the region. More details about the player clinic will be posted shortly.
D
This event would not be possible without the active support and commitment of the City of Allen Parks & Recreation Department and the Allen Convention & Hotel Bureau. For more information and to apply for entry into this event, please contact us: Tim Soefje, Tournament Director, American Freedom Gold (Soefje), (972) 922-8866, americanfreedomgold@yahoo.com.
