The 2005 AFA Girls Fastpitch “B” Nationals is sponsored by the American Fastpitch Association, the Salt Lake City Convention & Visitors Bureau, and the Utah Sports Commission.
Location
Tournament will be held in Salt Lake City, Utah, in proximity to major attractions including Lagoon Theme Park, and the 2002 Winter Games Venues. The following parks will be used; all are located in the Salt Lake County area: Valley Regional Park, and Vista Park. Tournament Director will add fields or parks as needed.

Team registration Monday July 25, 2005 12:00 PM – 4:00 PM
Opening Ceremonies Monday July 25, 6:00 PM
Coaches Meeting July 25, 2005 @ 2:00 PM
Games begin Tuesday @ 8:00 AM

Age Requirements and Proof of Age
The age requirement cut off date will be January 1, 2005. All managers will be required to furnish proof of age(birth certificates, driver’s license, etc.) for each player of their team at check in and at any time during the tournament.
Format
The format of the tournament will be a five (5) game minimum. All teams will play three (3) pool games, and then will be seeded into a double elimination championship bracket.
Rosters
Your Official 2005 AFA Youth Roster is due at registration. All rosters must be complete (AFA Sanction number, all signatures, birth dates, and State Director’s signature). Your State Director will forward this information to the Tournament Director. A team will not be allowed to complete if all information is not complete. Please contact us with any questions on the Roster or your State Director.
Entry Fee and Deadline
Entry fee of $ 400.00 (four hundred dollars) made payable to AFA by certified check or money order only, No refunds, along with your proof of insurance must be sent to your State Director no later than July 12, 2005.
