Altamonte Fastpitch Softball is an organization which exists to provide girls ages 4-18 in our community with recreational opportunities in the game of fastpitch softball. We are committed to providing a safe, competitive, and friendly atmosphere where all girls, regardless of their skill level are valued and provided an opportunity to learn the skills of the game and to enhance both their physical and mental development. More importantly,  we are committed to teaching life lessons (like Sportsmanship, Winning and Losing with Pride  and of course Teamwork) and to honor the game, its participants, coaches, umpires and fans. Our program promotes personal development and growth in the areas of goal setting, ethics and citizenship. We will strive to provide the best sports experience possible to assure that each child has FUN as they improve in their skills and learn to enjoy the spirit of competition.

I Want To Be 6 Again

I hereby officially tender my resignation as an adult.

I have decided I would like to accept the responsibilities of a 6-year-old again.
I want to go to McDonald's and think that it's a four-star restaurant.
I want to sail sticks across a fresh mud puddle and make ripples with rocks.
I want to hunt crickets and lizards and keep them in a glass jar on my bedside table.
I want to think M&Ms are better than money, because you can eat them.
I want to play kickball during recess and paint with watercolors in art.
I want to lie under a big Oak tree and find pictures in the clouds, and run a lemonade stand with my friends on a hot summer's day.

I want to return to a time when life was simple. When all you knew were colors, addition tables and simple nursery rhymes, but that didn't bother you, because you didn't know what you didn't know and you didn't care. All you knew was to be happy, because you didn't know all the things that should make you worried and upset.

I want to think that the world is fair. That everyone in it is honest and good.
I want to believe that my dad knew everything.
I want to believe that anything is possible.

Somewhere in my youth... I matured and I learned too much.
I want to live simply again.
I don't want my day to consist of computer crashes, mountains of paperwork, depressing news, how to survive more days in the month than there is money in the bank, doctor bills, gossip, illness and loss of loved ones.

I want to believe in the power of smiles, hugs, a kind word, truth, justice, peace, dreams, the imagination, mankind and making angels in the snow.

I want to be six again!

 WHAT IS SUCCESS?

by Ralph Waldo Emerson

"The definition of success--To laugh much; to win respect of intelligent persons and the affections of children; to earn the approbation of honest critics and endure the betrayal of false friends; to appreciate beauty; to find the best in others; to give one's self; to leave the world a little better, whether by a healthy child, a garden patch, or a redeemed social condition; to have played and laughed with enthusiasm, and sung with exultation; to know even one life has breathed easier because you have lived--this is to have succeeded."
