Allied Gardens Little League: Welcome

Our Philosophy

"Baseball and softball embody the discipline of teamwork. They challenge players toward perfection of physical skills and bring into play the excitement of tactics and strategy. The very nature of baseball and softball also teach that while every player eventually strikes out or is on the losing team, there is always another chance for success in the next at-bat or game." (www.littleleague.org)

Allied Gardens Little League recognizes that what happens on our fields is more than just a game. The lessons we teach our players extend beyond the field and provide invaluable life experience. The treasured memories of friendships formed, the discipline to apply effort toward achieving tough goals, and the proper attitude to strive for success in life begins here.

The responsibility for maintaining this vital community resource rests with the many volunteers who selflessly donate their time, money and energy. This league could not operate without your help with duties such as coaching, board service, field maintenance, umpiring, managing, concessions and much more. In fact, our league is run entirely by volunteers; every dollar we bring in goes directly to our fields and services for our members. Please contact us to find out how you can be involved to help safeguard the future of our league.

The Walkway to Youth Development

Purchasing a brick allows you to be a part of a continuing endeavor to beautify our fields while commemorating the name of your player, family or team for years to come. Set your memories in stone permanently. Advertise your local business or commemorate a special event in someone's life.

The bricks will be placed on the walk area around the Major Field concession stand and seating areas. This project will continue to grow as the years go by. To help memorialize your player's achievements through the years (e.g., All-Star selection, TOC Champion, Home-Run King, etc) future bricks can be purchased at 1/2 off.

See the Brick Order Form to become a permanent part of Allied Gardens Little League Fields.  You can also contact Dave Woodruff @ 858.775.7156 or d.woodruff@cox.net.

Majors Field Day a Success!

While we could've used more volunteers, our Field Day on the Majors Field Today was a great success. Our field lines had become overrun by creeping grass. We re-edged and cut out the overgrown areas and resurfaced the dirt areas, leaving the field in great shape. Thanks to all of the volunteers who turned out to help out!

If you'd like to get involved in the next Field Day, please sign up for our field maintenance e-mail list.
