LCAHL Championship Game Information

LCAHL PLAYOFFS CHAMPIONSHIP GAMES LCAHL would like to congratulate all teams that have made it to the LCAHL Playoffs Championship games. You should all be proud of your teams and their efforts.

LCAHL Playoff Champions will be honored with an on field ceremony at Comerica Park on Sunday, May 3, 2009 at 1:00 PM. On this day Little Caesars will be sponsoring the first annual LCAHL Tigers Day at Comerica Park. The Champions from each division will receive one complimentary ticket per player to attend the game and participate in the ceremony. Tigers and Red Wings Alumni Members will be part of the ceremony. There will be discounted tickets available for the champion's friends and family and for all LCAHL teams and their families. Information about how to purchase discounted tickets for LCAHL Tigers Day will be coming soon. Championship teams will be given a packet at the end of their game with information about how to obtain their complimentary tickets.

Please see below for logistical information regarding the championship games:

• All teams should plan to arrive 45 minutes to one hour before scheduled games.

• Games could start up to 15 minutes early.

•Team managers should be prepared to provide roster stickers or complete roster information on the scoresheet for all games.

• The same rules that were followed for quarter and semi finals will be in affect for the Championship games. These rules are available on the LCAHL website at www.lcahl.org and were given to all teams during the prior round.

• Alleycat will be at all sites selling sweatshirts and t-shirts. • Hockey Weekly Action Photos will be at all sites for pictures.

• Teams at the State Fairground and the DISC have open parking.

JOE LOUIS ARENA: For teams whose championship games are scheduled at Joe Louis Arena, there are certain rules that must be followed.

• Parking will be across the street from the player's entrance in Riverfront Parking. There will be a fee to park in this area so please be prepared.

• Team representatives should enter the building at the player's entrance and check in with security.

• Teams will be directed to the check in area. Only coaches will be required to check in and sign the scoresheet. Managers will complete the roster information. Players do not need to check in.

• After checking in, each team will be assigned a locker room. This locker room is for team members only.

• Teams should determine if the players will need assistance dressing or tying skates and if so identify two (2) adults that will help with these tasks. Only coaches and the two (2) assistants will be allowed in the locker room with the players.

• Fans will be asked to sit only in designated areas of the arena. Please respect this request.

• After the game, only coaches, players and assistants may go to the locker room. Parents and fans should wait in the area designated by the security staff and the team will meet them there.

• There will be a concession stand open with Little Caesars Pizza and beverages available. As always, please contact your Division Director with any questions.

Thanks to everyone for your cooperation in making this a wonderful event for the kids. LCAHL wishes every team the best of luck!
