Alhambra Giants: Welcome

The t-ball team ended their season with a bang last Saturday. The t-ball Giants showed their skill on the field and at the plate with only one Giant out of 13 using the T to bat. The t-ballers came a long way this season and next season most will be ready for tiny ball. Closing ceremonies are coming up and the end of year party is being planned. Some parents suggesting selling snow cones for the upcoming playoffs at Granada Park to raise money for he party. Team mom Debbie will be e-mailing you on this. Thanks for a great season.
The softball team is coming off two great victories. The Giants defeated the AA Rockies and the EM Rockies last weekend. All the players are improving at the plate and on the field. But most of their improvement can be seen on the base paths. Most of the girls know how to slide and like our tough opponents, they have learned how to manufacture runs. This has made avery girl with the potential to get a bases on balls a run scoring threat.
All the girls performed well against the AA Rockies but the game balls went to Tony and Taylor. Tony got great experience on the mound and Taylor got the game winning hit. We only had 9 girls for the game against the EM Rockies but those 9 girls managed to score 12 runs in 4 innings. The EM Rockies had a fast pitcher but Citlali, Tony, Ray, Rebecca and Erica made contact to score some key runs. Taylor and Mikayla continue to get on base and score and Citlali struck out 7 of the 15 outs. But the game ball went ot Ray who did a great job behind the plate. Ray threw out a runner a got a runner out with Citlali after a passed ball.
Our next game is next Tuesday at Garvanza Park against the L.A. Bruins. We should have practice at the batting cages this Thursday. And for those girls not going on Holiday we will be having a volunteer practice this Sunday at 11:00.
I'll see you on the field,
Martín
