The Alexandria Aces Announce their new Assistant Coach Wayne Miller
The Aces are happy to welcome, Wayne Miller as Assistant Coach to Head Coach, Corey Haines. Wayne is currently coaching the for the Varsity baseball program at Beardon High School as an assistant coach.
Wayne was a four year starter at Samford University under coach Casey Dunn. He played the positions of Center Field & 2nd Base and had a career batting average of 328. He also achieved the following awards and designations:
- Southern Conference Academic Player of the Week 2009-2010 season
- Coleman Lew Leadership Award 2009
- ESPN the Magazine Academic All-District Team 2010
- Southern Conference 2nd Team All-Conference 2010
- Southern Conference Academic All-Conference 2009-2010
- We ask all of you to welcome Wayne to the team and we look forward to seeing assist in making the 2011 season the best ever!

The Alexandria Aces welcomes its second Assistant Coach, Justin Haywood!
Although born in Louisville, Kentucky Justin considers himself a native of Chesapeake, Virginia. Justin studied at the University of Louisville where he achieved a Bachelor of Science degree, majoring in Sports Administration.
Justin tells Head Coach, Corey Haines that he is very excited about joining the Aces organization and looks forward to a summer of great baseball in The City of Alexandria. He is currently coaching at Old Dominion University working with the catchers, outfielders and batters.
During his collegiate career he participated in and achieved the following awards and distinctions:
- 2009 Bullpen Catcher/Asst. Admin. for USA National Collegiate Baseball team -(won the World Baseball Challenge, 19-5 overall)
- 4 Big East Championships (185-77 overall record)
- 4 NCAA Regional Appearances
- 2 Super Regional Appearances
- 1 College World Series Appeareance
- 2-time Big East Academic All-Star
