Welcome Albany area ultimate players. In an effort to grow our summer league, provide players with more options and more playing time, we have broken the league into two different leagues a competitive league and a social league.  You will be able to register for both.  Both leagues will have teams that play each other.  The only difference is in the intensity of play and expectation.  The social league will be geared towards serious play, but centered around team spirit and teaching.  The competitive league will be geared towards more technical play, strategy, and team building dynamics.  Registration will be up by Tuesday, and you can even pay your fees online. As you will see, this years summer league will start around the first week in June.  The registration fee will be $30 for one league or $50 for both leagues.  Once registration is active, click on the link below that matches the league you want to join.  Once there, click on the register now button.  If you would like to register for both leagues, click on the register for another category button at the end of the registration page.  You will be given a 2nd league discount of $10, and receive a shirt for both leagues.   

*Note: Players are invited and encouraged to join both leagues.  Whereas, last year the social league had an age requirement for male players, this year the difference is one of temperament.  We realize that these descriptions are pretty amorphous, but essentially we are trying to build two different ultimate communities in order to suit the widest range of players. Both leagues will be based around teams trying to win games and have fun, but just getting there from different routes.  If you are struggling to figure which one best suits desires, shoot us a message.

Additional Note: The Albany Ultimate Disc Association also sponsors a weekly women's league, which is not limited to the dates of the official summer league.  The women's league is not a traditional "league" with set teams and captains, and does not require a registration fee.  For more information, click on the link below.
