Alaska Quakes Baseball Club: 501(c)3
On June 18, 2003 the Internal Revenue Services (IRS) recognized the Alaska Quakes Baseball Club (AQBC) as exempt from federal income tax under section 501(a) of the Internal Revenue Code as an organization described in section 501(c)3. This recognition will allow donors to deduct contributions as provided in section 170 of the Internal Revenue Code. According to attorney F. Steven Mahoney who worked on the application for the AQBC, this exemption is retroactive back to the date of incorporation of the Club.
