Monday, May 5
The first competition of year was against the cleats of the Mentor baseball league. The Blaze opened the year with a strong defensive showing. The offense came around in the later innings. Josh Didonato, Kyle Suboticki, and Roger Martin sparked the offense with big hits in timely situations. The pitchers, (Jordan Hardwick, Roger Martin, and Adam Baker) all threw well allowing a mere 3 runs in 9 innings. We are one step closer to opening day the on the 14th!!!
Saturday, May 10
The Blaze put together a strong showing both offensively and defensively. Derek Headland, Andrew Kluge, Roger Martin, and Kyle Subticki all had BIG days at the plate to spark the 20 runs the team scored. Adam Zaher, Roger Martin, and Jay Yorty completely shut the Stow Wild down on offense. This proved to be a great pick me up game for Wednesday!!!
