Air Max Strength & Agility Training Coach Topping will hold strength and agility training 6-8PM on Mondays starting May 18th for ALL players. If you are serious about getting faster and improving your moves on the basketball court and beyond, this is the practice you shouldn't miss. Players will meet at the beach volleyball area of Bear Creek Park, on Bear Creek Parkway in Keller (weather permitting). See you on the SAND! GO MAX!

Summer Camps You Need to Check out Check out some of the summer basketball camps Air Max thinks you might be interested in attending. Just click on the 2009 Summer Camps link on the left index above and site will have links to information for summer overnight camps you might want to look into. The local camp for the Five Star camp takes place at Baylor University, Waco TX. There is also information on a Texas A&M overnight Basketball.

We Are the Champions!
On Saturday, June 27th, the Air Max Boys 6th Grade team clinched the Grapevine League 12U "A" Division Championship! The boys played hard all season juggling both tournament and league play for the last two months making them stronger each time. One word described by the boys on their accomplishment - "SWEET!". Way to go Boys! GO MAX!

Back to Summer Splash Champs!
Our Boys 7th grade team remained undefeated at this weekend's Premier 1st Annual Back to Summer Splash Tournament clinching the Boys 7th Grade Red Division Championship at the Fieldhouse USA in Frisco. What a great way to start the Air Max Summer season. Keep it up boys as you bask in your glory!

Make Big Splash at the Back to
Summer Splash Tournament!
The Air Max Girls 9th Grade Team also dominated at the Premier 1st Annual Back to Summer Splash Tournament this weekend at the Fieldhouse USA in Frisco. The girls won all their games going into the championship game but fell short playing against a tough opponent from Oklahoma. The girls came away with 2nd Place in the Green Division. Way to start off the Summer Season Girls.

Air Max Teams place Third in Memorial Day Weekend Tournaments! Congratulations go out to both our Girls 9th Grade and Boys 7th Grade teams for placing in their tournaments over the May 23-24 Memorial Day Weekend. Our Girls 9th Grade team played in the Sista Hoops Memorial Madness tournament held in Argyle and Lake Dallas. Girls played in the 15U older division, and won all but one game coming away with third place. The Boys 7th Grade team battled through five games over the Memorial Day weekend at the Primetime Summer Hoops Qualifier tournament in Plano, winning all but two of their games. They also placed third.

The Air Max Girls 8th Grade team won it all in the 13U Division of the Sista Hoops All-American Shootout tournament held over the May 16-17 weekend in Argyle and Lake Dallas. Girls played well displaying great team work. Awesome job girls and Congratulations! GO MAX!

The Air Max Girls 9th Grade team pulled off a Primetime Championship in the Girls 9th/10th Grade division over the May 9-10 Mother's Day weekend at UT Arlington. It was a wonderful Mother's Day gift for all the girls' moms. Congratulations and way to GO MAX!

| 6th Grade Boys, 3rd Place-Primetime Spring Shoot-out, 4/25-4/26

Air Max Teams Place in Keller Primetime Spring Shoot-out! Our 6th Grade Boys team placed for the first time in a tournament as Air Max Elite with a 3rd place finish at the Primetime Spring Shoot out in Keller held over the April 25-26 weekend. The boys have been working very hard all season and it has definitely paid off. Congratulations we are very proud of you. The 7th Grade Boys and 8th Grade Girls teams also have something to be proud of. Both teams played very well and came away with 2nd place finishes at the Primetime Spring Shoot Out in Keller as well! Congratulations!

Air Max 8th Grade & 9th Grade Girls Teams Qualify for Primetime Nationals! Both the 8th Grade and 9th Grade Girls placed 2nd in their divisions at the Primetime Spring Shoot out in Lewisville over the April 18-19 weekend qualifying for the Primetime Nationals in July. Both teams played well winning their games on Saturday, but just fell short during their 1st place Championship games on Sunday. Still a job well done! Congratulations Air Max Girls! GO MAX!

Allen Awesome Champs! Air Max Girls 9th Grade team are the 14U Division Champions of the Allen Awesome Tournament held over the April 4-5 weekend in Allen. The girls played a very close, physical game, never giving up and fighting hard against US Elite with a final score of 64-63. Our Air Max Girls truly lived up to the tournament's namesake, "AWESOME". Congratulations girls and GO MAX!

Air Max Girls Invited to Attend National Adidas Phenom Camp in San Diego, CA! Two of our Air Max girls who attended the Dallas Regional Adidas Phenom Camp at University of Texas, Arlington the weekend of March 28-29, were picked to go to the National Adidas Phenom Camp in San Diego, California! 8th Grader, Caroline Gonzalez and 7th Grader, Danielle, "Dani", Cowley were the only two girls from Air Max who attended the camp and both received an invitation to attend the Nationally recognized camp in San Diego. Only the "Top 100" players in the country from each grade receive an invitation to the National Camp in San Diego, California. Dani is in the 7th grade and attends Trinity Springs Middle School in Keller. Dani stands at 5'9" and plays the post position for Air Max Elite's 8th Grade Girls team. Dani's proud Mom, Shelly Cowley, said Dani was among eight out of 50 seventh grade girls in attendance invited to the National Adidas Phenom Camp. Caroline is in 8th Grade and attends Fort Worth Christian School in North Richland Hills. Caroline stands at 6'0" and also plays the post position for Air Max Elite's 8th & 9th Grade Girls teams. Caroline was selected at the camp as the best F/C in the 8th grade group. According to her proud Dad, Al Gonzalez, Caroline was among ten out of 50 girls who made the All Star team in the 8th Grade Girls Division. He also estimated there were about 160 girls in attendance from 6th grade to Juniors in High School. The National "Invitation Only" Adidas Phenom Camp in San Diego takes place this July 31-August 2. Congratulations Caroline and Dani! You do Air Max and your Parents Proud! GO MAX!

Look at What's New & Exciting in Skills Training... Skills Training Session participants can now benefit two for one... not in price but in coaches! Coach Nathan Erdmann has partnered with Coach Gene Topping in conducting skills training sessions. Coach Erdmann has extensive playing experience from Division 1 College to the NBA and professional basketball in Europe. Price for Skills will remain the same, $20 per session payable to Coach Topping. You can read up on the benefits of skills training by clicking on skills sessions on the menu bar. Currently Skills is offered from 8-9PM Tuesdays & Thursdays after regular team practices at either Beck Elementary or Medlin Middle School in Trophy Club (Days, times, & locations subject to change).
