AYLL Boundaries for JHS (6th - 8th grade). AYLL rules specify that our JHS players must live within the following school based boundaries:

"All public, private, religious, and charter schools that are physically located within the following school boundaries - All schools in Kyrene #28 that feed the following: Akimel, Altadena, Centennial"

These boundary rules do not apply to our Dragons Youth Program.

Please do not register for JHS if you do not live within the AYLL boundaries. We are sorry for any lacrosse player who wants to play with us but can't because of boundary issues. The rules are not ours, and we would happily let everyone play if we could. Please refer to AYLL website www.azlax.com for more information.

Any player missing any of the mandatory equipment listed above, will not be allowed to practice or play in games.

Middle School Lacrosse Programs

The Ahwatukee Lacrosse Middle School programs are open to boys currently in 6th through 8th grade. Our program consists of an A team (Lightning) and B team (Storm) which will compete in the Spring Season of the Arizona Youth Lacrosse League (AYLL) JHS Division. In addition, we will run a Middle School Spring House League.

The Middle School Fall Season starts in September and will run until early November and consist of Fall-Ball practices and individual player evaluations.  Lightning and Storm rosters will be set and formal practices for these teams will start in early November.  AYLL League and House League games will start in early January 2010.

Lightning A and B

We will select players to the Lightning A and B rosters based on player evaluations conducted during our Fall Lacrosse Season.   Lightning A and B roster sizes will be limited to no more than 22 - 25 players. The players who are not selected to the Lightning A and B rosters will play in the Middle School division of our 12 game Spring House League.  Information on player evaluations is available on the Divisions pages under Middle School.

Dragons K-5th Grade Lacrosse Program

The Dragons Lacrosse program offers boys an opportunity to have fun, make new friends, and build lacrosse skills. The Dragons prepare boys to play higher level lacrosse in our local Middle School and High School lacrosse programs.

The Fall League will run for 10 - 12 weeks starting Wednesday October 7th for boys from 3rd through 5th grade.

The Spring League will commence in January and run until late March early April for boys from Kindergarten through 5th grade.

The Dragons Fall and Spring League will include skills intensive practices once a week with games on Sundays.  Games will be two 20 - 25 minute running time halves and will include a clock, referees and scorer's table.
