We received excellent response from our members for our first Agincourt Tennis Club House League.  The new House League will begin on Tuesday, July 7.  We will have 4 teams consists of 7 players each.  All teams will be consists of various level of players (advanced, intermediate and “up-and-coming”).  We have named the four teams as Wimbledon, US Open, French Open and Australian Open.  The captains for these four teams are: Aurora Drapiza, Harold Wong, Wilson Young and David Du.

We are very fortunate that Aurora has volunteered to help up organizing this event.  Aurora has wealth of experience in running various organized tennis events.   By the way, all members are invited to come and watch the playoff of the league on Tuesday, September 1, 2009.

Just before the Rogers' Cup Tournament in Toronto, the Agincourt Tennis Club invites the OTA (Ontario Tennis Association) to come to our courts to run a Tennis Fun Fair. Participating members will be able to demo new racquets, test their serving skills and participate in some fun and games to win prizes. There is usually a nominal fee charged by the OTA ($8), but you get some great stuff, an OTA 2009 T-shirt and a couple of Rogers’ Cup tickets to name a few. This event is open to all members and has in the past been a fun time for all those who participated.   The junior event will start at 9:30 am and the adult event will start at 7:00 pm.  This event is 150 minutes in length.  Please sign up early as the spaces are limited.

We will host our 5^th annual Agincourt TC Night at Rogers Cup event in the evening of Thursday, August 20, 2009 at the Rexall Centre, York University.  We will have a fun-filled night of watching the world's top-ranked ladies competing for the Rogers Cup.  The regular admission for the Level 300 is $55 plus tax.  This year, we have negotiated a 50% discount ($27.50 plus tax).  The first 15 participants will receive a free Rogers Cup tournament poster valued at $10.00.   We will also have door prices for some lucky participants.  Please contact Andy Chen President@agincourttennisclub.ca  if you are interested in joining us for this event.  Family and friends are most welcome.
